@ Dream Demon - BBFC vs. MPAA

I totally agree with you regarding the MPAA, totally corrupt and inconsistent. I saw 'this film is not yet rated' and was shocked.

However...

As much as it seems like we get the better deal, there is one thing that 'this film is not yet rated' neglected to mention...

DVD can be released WITHOUT MPAA cuts....hence every horror DVD on region 1 being unrated!!

Pretty much every video nasty is avaliable over there in it's uncut form

The BBFC have been censoring our video and DVD releases ever since the video nasty scare back the 80's

So, the MPAA are nice and strict with theatrical releases, but the BBFC give us the double whammy!!

As for Australia.....that's censoring to the max...I think even power rangers gets pixelated before 9pm

Not every R1 horror DVD is released unrated or uncut.
Many releases are cut.
