Bobby Rhodes The Pimp

I've had a couple of conversations with Bobby Rhodes who plays Tony the Pimp and the gym instructor in Demons/Demons 2 about the arrow releases.

He has been doing a lot of promotional work lately, attending alot of conventions etc and really trying to get himself back out there. I asked him if he had spoken to or had any contact from Arrow about contributing to the extras, maybe an interview or and introduction or commentary.

He said that his agent had been in touch but that they turned down his offer and chose to go in a different direction with the extras.

Must admit I was kinda suprised, the Guy speaks excellent English, is based in London is one of the most iconic and memorable characters in both films add that to the fact he is doing so much promotional work I'm sure he would have been able to push the release. Though I guess if it just a DVD release and not a Blu they may be only including very limited extras.

There was no "different direction" - but Bobby wasn't in London or Rome when we spoke to him (or rather his agent as he referred us to them) and he wanted participation fees. We actually invited him to make an appearance at the Demons showing at Cine Excess last year. We did all our Demons stuff (and actually handed it to another editor as originally Arrow wanted it out last summer) in Rome in March 2010.

Of course we would have liked Bobby involved. He plays a great part and we love his character.
