glad you mentioned that
i'll still be buying CONEH dual format some time but i think dvdcompare.net got their facts wrong stating the Jap dvd was the best option
when what you said of longer running time would of def dragged a little, and no extra sex and violence.....

Asked Lloyd Kaufman on twitter when we might see The Toxic Avenger on blu-ray. Doesn't look good. Apparently none of the Troma blu's (in the US) have made a profit, they've actually lost money. Probably the reason they scrapped the Surf Nazi's release.

Yeah, just saw that in my Twitter feed. Sad news. The last time I asked him
about it on Twitter it seemed to be going ahead. Would be a good opportunity for Arrow to release it if the materials are available and the other Troma releases do well.

NO TOXIE!? What!?

I just added this to the list of movies I'd like to see come out on Blu Ray, and trust me that list is shrinking fast, especially thanks to Shout Factory and Criterion. (In The Mouth Of Madness, Bad Taste, And Cowboy Bebop (The Series) are the top priorities on my list.)

But seriously, Toxic Avenger is great fun, having watched it on the plane to Japan, and I would gladly buy it on Blu Ray.

Also, are the fat guy in this and the one in Street Trash the same actor?

Oops sorry, I meant the Mayor in Toxic Avenger, but is he in Nuke Em High too? I like him, he's a pretty funny actor.
