You'd be suprised, I did a magazine journalism course at uni and practically no-one could name their favourite writer.
I always thought SFX was more of a mainstream title, and horror isn't their demographics main interest.

Exactly. The names you cite there are actually very well-known within cult film circles. People who don't know who they are probably don't know who Lucio Fulci is either and thus will probably only have a passing interest in the film as a curio from the video nasty era. The extras, I'm guessing, aren't aimed at people like that. They'll be aimed at the hardcore fanbase that are devotees of cult cinema. McGillivray is always fun to watch and listen to, very sardonic and dry, but I like his humour, and his sharp recollection of fine details from years past is always enlightening.

This just in from Arrow regarding the steelbook

Zombie Flesh-Eaters SteelBook Blu-ray is now sold out from our site, if you're yet to order please place your order with another retailer.

They have said that if you have ordered from them, then your order is safe. I would imagine most people on here have ordered from Play or Amazon seeing as they have it for £14

So this certainly looks like it'll be a big seller for Arrow. I just hope my Amazon order gets fulfilled! I want that steelbook!

With this piece of news, and the fact that the limited edition slipboxes still have not sold out, it's understandable why Arrow decided to discontinue them.

I wonder how many copies of the LE are left, last I heard they'd had 400 orders for it

We have no idea how many steelbooks Arrow had in-stock to sell through their website though. Coulda been four.

It does raise the question - if 500 don't go for something high profile as Zombie, will a 1000 honestly opt for the Bava limited editions?

I wonder how well the limited editions of the Demons films sold.

I haven't ordered the two Bava's yet due to their "pay now for pre-orders" rule, but I'm quite confident that I'll get a copy of each when I do place my order next month. As for ZFE not selling out the 500 copies, I think this is due to the price and the fact people are unsure whether this release will be first class or not. I can wager a bet that it sells out after release date, probably within the first week or so once the majority of reviews (both professional and from members on here) have come in.

There's also the fact that people will go to HMV/Play/Amazon when they want to buy a film - it wasn't exactly widely advertised that a limited version was available on Arrow's website.
There is mention of the limited Bava's on an advert in the latest Empire however.
