I read it yesterday up until the end which was page 8 or something like that - I'm going to save the rest for tomorrow - I'll make myself a nice cup of tea, select a biscuit or two and settle down...

I also preferred the whole 'feel' and direction of Baba Yaga, to be honest. The dissolving of some scenes into a Crepax - style cartoon strip panel was inspired. I enjoyed both films, but Yaga wins it for me. Mind you, TFW gets my vote as Shameless' best dvd cover...so far |

I started to watch Baba Yaga last night but nodded off part way through, from what I saw I liked it. It's a title that's always intrested me but not enough to buy the BU release. I too like the Crepax cutaways and the silght echo on Carrol Bakers voice is creepy!

Just finished watching this. I was very excited about this release and I'm not disappointed. The movie is much better in this version and I also liked the Italian track a lot more than the English dub. Like the cover says it's a fan edition for the fans. The composite is somewhat rough in places but it didn't really bother me. I suppose it's the best Shameless could do on a realistic budget and a big thanks for it! |
