That's one of the first issues of MM I bought Demdike. I know what you mean about some of the pics in this one - the photo of the Monster From Hell with his innards ripped out on the back page was pretty gruesome stuff for its time.

Agreed, as was the girl in the bath tub with the knife in her neck from Hands of the Ripper ,in glorious close up.

It was far stronger than whats actually seen on screen.

I'd forgotton about that one! In the same 'vein' ( ho ho ) doesn't it also have a shot of the bottle throat - slashing from Monster From Hell that was censored from the finished film? According to Hammer, it is out there somewhere - on a Japanese laser disc ( I think ).

Thats right.

I think that issue of Monster Mag, even though it repulsed me at the time, probably takes credit for getting me into horror.

Its a crying shame we've never had a decent Vampirella movie.

I would have loved to see Julie Strain play her in a trashy d-movie.
