Ah that's a real shame but, as others have said, perfectly understandable from Shameless' point of view. Can't say I'm not upset but at the end of the day it's the film that matters.

Is there no way that Shameless could produce a very limited run (around 100 or so) of Steelbooks and sell them direct through Cult-Labs? That way, Shameless don't spend a fortune producing too many copies, the Cult-Labbers are happy because they can pick up a Limited Edition (which would be be even more exclusive now) and we can show those high street shops they are not the be all and end all

Steelbooks have a minimum order of 4000 units, so a 100 would not happen.

I didn't know that, but I suppose the number has to be high in order to justify the cost of running the machinery. Are you what the press would call 'an industry insider'?!

cant shameless do a limited run of the tin, say like 1,000 copies that are sent out to online retailers? Like Play.com exclusive?

how do do these other limited releases work then?
if i remember the house by the cemetery dutch ultrabit was only 2000 units which were numbered.
