Has anyone seen the uk of Mondo Cane yet? I think it was sneaked out with an E rating.
Were the scenes in Africa Addio orchestrated by the film crew, Loops, or is the film simply showing cruelty around the world?

The Zebra scene looks like it had been arranged by the filmakers. I'm not to sure about the other two scenes i mentioned. There are a few other animal bits that i cant remember.

Oh there is another scene showing a cow with its tendons sliced that lookes like it has been staged for the camera.

Been a while since I last saw it but from what I can remember nearly all of it was stock footage filmed during Africa's 'de-colonisation'.

The hippo & elephant scenes are grotesque.

Thanks. Scenes that looked staged are likely to go.

I would like to see Franco Prosperi's non mondo film Wild Beasts get a release but it would definitely suffer cuts.

I'd say the Zebra footage looked the most obviously staged as mentioned already. As Vin mentioned the spearings of Hippos & Elephants are very difficult to watch.
