House on the Edge of the Park is another film that had previously eluded me until recently.I got a Shriek Show three disc pack that included this, Beyond the Darkness and Delirium (the dud out of the three I would think), and all for under a tenner! I'll report back when I've found the time to watch 'House on the Edge'.I imagine something like The Untold Story (aka Bunman) would have major difficulty getting past the BBFC with it's chopstick rape scene and family massacre.

Most of those Shriek Show packs have a dud or two in them, terrific value for money though.Especially when you see how much the single disc releases go for!

I've had a few of them and my personal fave is the Post Apocalypse box containing; After the Fall of New York, Bronx Warriors and The New Barbarians.

The film was classified by the BBFC about 4 years ago with cuts to the rape scene only. The BBFC wouldn't normally cut scenes of violence against children unless unless there appears to be a breach of the law ie it is sexual.

I've only see the cut Cat 3 version of the film, which as far as I know only has cuts to the rape.

Love the fact the bbfc now show Ban the Sadist Videos to new examiners.
Yes interesting interview. But this part here "The sooner they close their doors for good, the better. Thanks to new technologies the writing has to be on the wall. It will be a great day for the UK industry when they cease to be. Or at least become voluntary and/or free of charge".

It's not going to happen.

Years since I saw the cut Cat 3 version, but I thought the killings of the children were trimmed too.No way the BBFC would pass the nasty chopstick rape intact.

Maybe it was, Mark. When I get around to watching the uncut DVD will check to see if there is any difference.
