I'm going to add this onto my list, I can start watching non-horror stuff next week Generally Netflix does these crime mini-series docs really well.

If you've not seen it yet, I'd definitely recommend Wild Wild Country

https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/80145240

6 long episodes so around 7-8hrs in total, but gripping....

Twisted Tale: The Unmmaking Of Spookies.

I'm sure for others like me Spookies is a guilty pleasure, this goes before the film and how it was created from the financing, to the story, casting, filming location, creative effects and then to the nightmare with Michael Lee who caused the tension with Thomas Doran and Brandon Faulkner to hiring Eugenie Joseph to create the film we have today. Nice way to spend 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Watching this has put me in the mood to watch the film

Best Worst Movie.

Michael Paul Stephenson (Joshua) made documentary about Troll 2, along with George Hardy, Connie Young, Don Packard, Jason Wright, Darren Ewing, Rossella Drudi, Claudio Fragasso, discussing the making of the film, the outcome and now a cult following of the film. People are dedicated to the film with the amount of times they have seen it, I wouldn't brag about watching this film as many times as they have. The cast have a good laugh discussing about the filming and trying to understand the script, and re-enacting some of the scenes.

Respectable: The Mary Millington Story (2016)

Simon Sheridan's excellent doc on the wild and tragic life of Britain's most famous porn actress of the 70's Mary Millington.

Informative, revealing, in fact some of the imagery is very revealing, fun, loved what Linzi Drew had to say about sleazy David Sullivan, and by the end remarkably sad. I was genuinely moved to tears.

Highly recommended. Can't understand why i left the dvd unwatched on the shelf for so long.

Mein liebster Feind - Klaus Kinski.

Werner Herzog's documentary on how he met Klaus Kinski from their teen years to directing him on his first picture Aguirre and the relationship they had to joining up and making other films together. Herzog travels back to some locations and remembers how Klaus would go on a tirade then be calm, during filming Fitzcaraldo a shot was not right and Klaus got angry, next he is calm and assisting in helping a cameraman who was injured. This was entertaining to watch as both Werner and Klaus couldn't work together without creating tension yet both men needed each other to create great films.

Kung Fu Stuntmen (2020, Junzi Wei)

A somewhat sober look at the history of men setting themselves on fire and stuff. Various bods turn up to say their piece, Sammo Hung, Woo Ping Yuen and Tsui Hark among them. Worth a look.

Where Does A Body End? (2019, Marco Porsia)

A trawl through the history of Swans, the band not the birds
At 2 3/4 hours, it's not for the faint of heart, but then that is quite fitting imho. Here's a taste of what I mean ...

Groovy, right?
Well, if that seems fine, you should enjoy this one. I find a lot of parallels with The Fall/MES tbh, not musically (repetition repetition ....well, slightly then) but more of the mindset. You might think he's just another pretentious yank. Whatever. Recommended, but don't come after me if you find tinnitus is your friend afterwards
