The best of Romero's Zom films IMO.

Will be kicking off my Halloween marathon tomorrow with NOTLD. As others have said it's a really nice steelbook.

What Have You Bought Recently?

Seasons 4 & 5 of The Walking Dead arrived on Blu today.
I already had 4, but because I bought it from a seller on Amazon used, it had a cracked case and didn't have the slip, so I sold it to CEX and re-bought brand new from eBay (cue much head shaking from my other half-the Queen of OCD!!)

I really like American Gothic. It'd be great to see a Blu release someday.

Great film, love Michael J Pollard in this. I have the cheapo Stax version but it is signed by John Hough [emoji1]

Yeah, I think we've discussed our love for this before, mainly on the back of so many negative reviews out there. It's actually a lot more of a plot than a lot of crud out there yet some people really don't seem to like it.

Typical, I finally get my mate to trawl charity shops for stuff and for almost 2hrs we don't find a damn thing:lol:, but in Cancer Research I find these on dvd for £1 each and later my mate finds some England F.C. sweatshirts and Nike Tee-shirts for £2 each (so both went home chuffed) film noir weekend for me then.

This week's arrivals.

American Gothic is a must watch 80s U.S. shocker(could do with a bit more red stuff though), but with one caveat... Rod Steiger is a bit... 'one note' as a baddie (but that's half the fun in itself, you keep wishing someone would poke him with a a stick to get him to emote a bit:lol:) the dvd does look good so the elements for a BD should be there.

Bloodsucking Pharoah's (88 Blu)

Spirits of the dead Blu (Arrow academy)

No country for old Men (blu)

Scream and scream again DVD (There is no way I am paying £37 from screen archives for the twilight time blu) even if that is tracked and a limited edition that's a disgrace.

History of Violence is great. Very straightforward for Cronenberg but a great film nonetheless.

Recently, I managed to pick up Electric Boogaloo, Mad Max: Fury Road and Halloween 6. In SD/HD and SD, respectively.

gag 5th October 2015 05:19 PM

Some good buy there from you lot.

History of violence comsidering its cronenberg first main attempt at none borror its a great film. Only fault i had was could of be doing a bit longer.
Kimda felt ending was a tadge rushed and over before it really began
.
Because of what cronenberg films are like watch it without in mind that its a cronenberg film. Excellent all the same.
