I was worried when I bought it because they used those dreaded eco-cases for the films, but miraculously every one was perfect, with no damage to the artwork. I also ended up buying the Canadian double feature blu of the theatrical versions of the Rob Zombie movies to sit along side this.

I'm tempted to do the same. Just so I have them for completion's sake.

But, yeah, I am loving the boxset.

Today's charity shop finds, 50p each. I'm glad series 1 of 'Not on Your Nellie' is the complete and uncut version and not the R-rated cut!! 😀

Mrs Funster has preordered me Arrow's new Deep Red Blu Ray set [emoji5]️

She hasn't mentioned anything about it to me, but I got a confirmation email, so she's obviously ordered it on my arrow account. So I get some arrow points too!!

She's not a bad lass.

Finally managed to get a copy of the Shannon Tweed movie Face The Evil (aka No Contest 2), and preordered a couple of upcoming Slasher Video blu's, Deadly Prey and Deadliest Prey. They've been upfront about Deadly Prey though, shot on video (although some people are questioning that), it's been transferred from the only available source, a Pal Beta SP tape, so it's not going to look amazing. But the blu is only $1 more on Amazon than the dvd they're releasing, so it was a no-brainer.

Just an extra, it only exists on VHS (as far as anyone knows) so it's unlikely to end up in the finished product, until some German company splices it in for some ltd edition hardbox; as the quality would be noticeably worse.

WE ARE STILL HERE

Saw it, medium, at best. Well executed but not very memorable.
Then again, I saw it in a festival, my memories probably got lost with all the other movies :P

It only interested me because it has Barbara Crampton in it and blu Ray limited to 500 copies. Might just wait till it appears on Netflix

Oh, God. No Contest. I actually had to convince friends that there was a Die Hard clone set in a beauty pageant. And that it got a sequel.

Haven't seen them since I was an impressionable teenager so I'm curious as to how they hold up.

I haven't seen the second one myself since it was released here as No Contest II on vhs, but I watched the first again about a year ago. Not the greatest action movie ever made, but pretty fun, plus I do like Shannon Tweed movies, and you can go wrong with Andrew Dice Clay as a villain.

Plus, you can't dislike a film that has Roddy Piper (R.I.P.) and the great Robert Davi.

Damn, yeah I forgot about Hot Rod in the film!

I've returned from Fopp with a small bounty of unexpected pleasures. The 88 films promotion was sadly lacking, I think those Manc's have cleared the shelves of all the good stuff. Got some other bargains though.

I think the release date was pushed forward because it was on the Amazon 'new this week' list as well.

It's cex they are always selling used stuff for the same price or more than you can get it new, well at least the ones near me. Bargains are usually few and far between, they only ever good if you trade stuff in

XT did release the head version too, however they also released a limited edition mediabook version of the film:

I've no idea what the transfer is like, although it's most likely a rip of either Arrow's or BU's, plus some of the extras may be in German only.

Stunning artwork, same size as a steelbook, far better transfer than the Arrow release as it isn't full of compression artefacts but you do lose all of the extras.

stuff

tremors 5 which was disappointing, had none of the sense of fun of previous films and tv series and just felt a bit cheap and nasty. Will once more ( sorry for sounding like a broken record) plug my mate Richard's film vampires which is only a fiver on dvd in asda.
