That's partly my fault as that spelling is the default from Dragon NaturallySpeaking and I didn't proof read closely enough to correct it before posting!

Just to add my tuppence worth, i really like both Dust devil and Hardware, but i always end up watching Hardware much more often because i find it a really entertaining film, with some great visuals. Watched it when it first hit VHS and so many times since.
Helps that the central female is pretty hot.:woot:

Attachment 189666

Also has music from Motorhead, PIL and Ministry and features a brief appearance by the singer from Fields of the Nephilim.:pop2:

Popped into HMV to spend some of the money my kind co-workers gave me for my birthday, spend just under £40 on these 3 and the rest is going in my savings account. My mum gave me money too but that's in the bank already!

Saw that Phantasm set in store, they had 2 copies. It's even uglier in person and that's before I saw the cheap (Hong Kong Special) Metallic Sphere! I'm just gutted I don't get to watch the Phantasmagoria documentary on the bonus disc.

Anyway, giving my Bava collection a quick kick up the behind, they only had these two and Black Sunday/B&BL which I already have. I'll have to wait and see if Lisa and the Devil and 5 Dolls turn up in the next Arrow 'Sale'.

Thanks Susan, I just ordered the last copy from Music Magpie for £11.00 which means I can just wait patiently for the first film to get its stand alone release.

I saw it once on TV years ago, and remember it being pretty good, I can't remember how close to Herbert's novel it is though because I read that when I was in my early teens.
I think I might pick this up myself swing as it's cheap enough

Yeah. It's nowhere near as good as the book but worth a watch. Actually an ozploitation film and directed by David Hemmings

I've never really gelled with The Monster Squad for whatever reason.

Goonies is good fun and Masters of the Universe was a staple '80s classic growing up. I must have watched it dozens of times over the years.

nosferatu42 24th April 2017 10:05 PM

I really enjoy the Goonies for the nostalgia.

Monster Squad i like too it's a real throwback to those old Universal 'House of Frankenstein/Dracula monster mash ups.

In my opinion the current Skeletor Money supermarket T.V ad totally shits on the film because the costumes are spot on.
Also Skeletor really knows how to move.
