Nor me actually. I always thought she was the weak link in Buffy.

I really like Road Trip and Euro Trip, don't have any expectations above crap with this one though.

They're two films I've studiously avoided watching, along with most Rob Schneider 'comedies', but may rent them one of these days out of morbid curiosity!

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 26th July 2011 03:15 PM

Even though I wouldn't say 'no', I'm not a great Michelle Trachtenberg fan either.

Actually, getting back on topic, I've just ordered the US Mediabook of The Shawshank Redemption.

PaulD 26th July 2011 03:45 PM

Just ordered Almost Human from Play, again using PlayTrade funds from a new sale. Fingers crossed for th elenticular artwork although it won't be the end of the world if not.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 26th July 2011 04:39 PM

I think the lenticular insert is virtually guaranteed as Shameless haven't released the ones without yet.

sawyer6 26th July 2011 04:45 PM

I'll Order Almost Human from Play too on Friday to get the cover before going oop

Well, that's one point in its favour!

Demdike@Cult Labs 26th July 2011 09:05 PM

The Diabolikal Super Criminal looks very familliar.

Wonder if there's a reward out.

Prince_Vajda 26th July 2011 09:22 PM

Nice one.

I was in a Morris Dancing team in junior school, we performed at harvest festivals every year.It was good fun.

I do come from the Pendle Witch area after all.

There's a pub near me in the village of Barley called the Barley Mow. http://www.barleymowatbarley.co.uk/

Cool. We had a May Pole at my infant school and at junior school I was in the school country/folk dance team.

I have a mighty fine looking witch doll looking at me from "Witches Galore" from your neck of the woods as I type.:)

Do you have a pic of it?

When i was about 14 i was in Witches Galore looking round, taking notice of the excellent life size witch mannequin sat on a chair in the corner. Out of the corner of my eye said dummy stood up.

I absolutely :censored: my pants and ran out the door, bloody terrified i was. I ran right across the road, its a small village but i could easily have been hit by a car. Never went near the place for about 15 years.

I'll gather up a few witchy things I have and a post a pic of them all later in the week.

Ditto. You don't have a full-sized Wicker Man in the garden, do you?!

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 27th July 2011 09:45 AM

I've just been on a spending spree on the Barnes & Noble website, with an order of nearly $330. Fortunately, my uncle is over there in September so will be a lot to bring all these back to the UK.

DVD:
Hiroshima mon amour
Night and Fog
La Strada
M. Hulot's Holiday
Viridiana

Blu-ray:
Beauty and the Beast (La Belle et la BĂȘte)
Solaris
Days of Heaven
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
The Thin Red Line
Walkabout
Paris, Texas
The Seventh Seal
The 400 Blows
8 1/2
Kes
Yojimbo
Wings of Desire

I figure that's my 'highbrow' quota for the year now complete, so I needn't feel guilty about watching some low budget trash!

Fantastic haul, Nos.

I'm rapidly falling behind in my Criterion purchasing (too much budget trash to buy!), so may have to remedy that very soon!

Had the same problem with masters of cinema. Now that my collection is almost complete i 'll devote ,myself to arrow and shameless

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 27th July 2011 01:45 PM

My Arrow and Shameless collections are practically complete so I'm concentrating on Blue Underground and Criterion Collection releases the time being for the time being along with the odd compulsory purchase like Apocalypse Now, Witchfinder General and Don't Look Now.

bdc 27th July 2011 01:58 PM

Are you collecting BU and Criterion Nos?
That's an expensive hobby! :thumb:

Tell me about it! Buying those on top of regular purchases and the odd hardbox every now and again is going to seriously test my bank balance!

Prince_Vajda 27th July 2011 02:50 PM

The following arrived today:

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ITZ1KLIppt...600/madman.jpg http://www.horror-movies.ca/AdvHTML_...71_article.jpg

Madman's a Code Red release - my first, to be honest. Some members won't believe their eyes, but it is possible to own a Horror movie collection without a single Code Red release; at least for some time.

The Bava box I bought because of The Girl Who Knew Too Much and Kill, Baby...Kill!, as I already own the others.

Greetings!

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 27th July 2011 04:38 PM

I have quite a long Blu wish list now (around 100 titles including upcoming releases), so for me, it's a case of prioritising what to buy and when!

That's one hell of a list, I doubt mine is half that length. I suppose it helps I've just bought about 13 from my Criterion Collection wishlist!

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 27th July 2011 04:49 PM

I've just shortened it by one title by ordering this:

Demdike@Cult Labs 27th July 2011 05:02 PM

Thought you would have had the Bava films already Prince.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 27th July 2011 05:37 PM

Good choice. The Killing is still in my wishlist but, as I'm in the mood, it probably won't be there for long!

Same here. I need to save money for the rest of the year so am only purchasing money on Play using funds gained from selling my own dvds. As a result, no Criterion blurays for me :(
