Do you collect steel books Treb or will you be selling Blade Runner next week?

I only ask as i really don't like the artwork and much prefer the poster art the non-steelie has.

J Harker 5th February 2018 03:22 PM

Blade Runner from Saisnburies along with my free book.
And ordered The Black Cat from Amazon.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...826eaef886.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...edf7a4dbbb.jpg

Nostalgic 5th February 2018 03:47 PM

Not really a new purchase but finally opened my Piranah steelbook from zavvi, should have done so earlier as the sticker left a mark on the cover, took ages to get off!

My wife and I have the day off so we will watch this afternoon. This will be a first-time viewing and I am quite excited about it. :) Hope the film is as good as reviews suggest.

It's better than the reviews suggest:woot:, a glorious looking intelligent Sci-Fi that's a worthy film in it's own right even if you don't like the original.

I watched the Ultra HD release on Saturday night – it's a film with extraordinary visuals and an amazing soundscape – and loved it as much as I did when watching it at the cinema. It's a masterful film and one which cries out to be seen on as big a screen as possible and with the volume turned WAY up!

And rest I will try bin of on car boot sale for about £1 each (hopefully) when we do one, i haven't shown them in a picture.

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 5th February 2018 07:44 PM

I quite enjoyed the House on Haunted Hill remake, gag. Also, whilst not great, The Hamiltons is work a look.

Personally, I found The Haunting in Connecticut and Untraceable to be dire.

nosferatu42 6th February 2018 12:12 AM

Not sure which are the two first pictures due to the arrangement but i quite enjoyed "Dead Silence" and "The Children".

A Sense of Freedom is a pretty good film, gag and Visitor Q is my favourite Takashi Miike film.

David Hayman is brilliant in that.

There are two versions of the film on Odyssey DVD,The AB disc has the cinema version only and not the STV version.

The cinema version is approximately 7 minutes shorter than the STV version.

Here are the latest buys, think it was about £12 in total. Impulse buys from some of the other posts on here under this thread as well as the 'what have you seen recently' threads. Well, that's what i am blaming for these buys anyway, nothing to do with i fancy watching some torture porn (Hostel)or that i think the other films in the picture sound awesome, lol. Time permitting will try to watch over the weekend.

15 bucks well spent for commando alone

Some decent films in the bunch nice bit of business and as you say you can probably come out a few bucks richer at the end.

exactly, even if I only make my £15 back then I've got about 20 films free.
in time to come I'm hoping to do that more often, buy bulk keep some sell others and just be happy enough to get back what I paid.
