After a VERY quiet January, I managed to get a few things in February:

Arrow direct
Die Todesking - Blu-Ray - Got it with 'points', so I only paid P&P for it

CEX
Doctor Who: The Complete Series 10 - 6 disc Blu-Ray set - It was price marked at £22:00, but I was only charged £20:00 [however, it doesn't include the lenticular cards that were released with it]
Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 2 disc Blu-Ray, with limited edition 'Dark Side' slip case - £5:00
Dream Theater: Metropolis 2000: Scenes From New York - DVD - Blind buy. I have been hearing the name 'Dream Theater' a lot over the last few months, but I know nothing about them, so I thought this will rectify that! - £2:50

Charity shop
Motley Crue: Red, White And Crue - 2 x greatest hits music CD. Sadly, it doesn't include my favourite song, 'Public Enemy #1', but hey-ho! - £1:50

Me neither, but it’s not too bad today, just windy, so I expect he’ll be coming and leaving my gate open to bang in the wind this afternoon at some point

The only day the post didn't come was yesterday, so I got double-post today (only a VAC CD and 88's Watch Me When I Kill BD from the 5 for £30 offer).

I get all my parcel related post delivered to my office though so not sure about the status of domestic deliveries.

I just ordered the above from Wow, so likely it will ship later today/early tomorrow and arrive mid-March sometime.

Silver Bullet turned up today, well done amazon when everyone else seems to be using the snow as an excuse to phone in sick!

same here, a bit of snow and the country has grounded to a halt, when i was a kid every winter was like this and the post always seem to get through, i partial blame health and safety as its seems royal mail will not allow posties out in case they might fall and hurt themselves, supermarkets without food and newsagents not getting papers. the way the papers and press are going on you would think it was a new ice age. all the weather really show is how incompetent the country is to deal with a little snow, many country's have it worse than us and they all seem to manage!

been waiting for a delivery since Tuesday but i suppose it depends on which warehouse stuff is coming from and what part of the country you are from, was it Amazon logistics or another courier that delivered?

Nostalgic 2nd March 2018 02:40 PM

Amazon logistics, even the postie turned up with some junk mail.
It is sad when the country stops because of a couple of flakes of snow, look at places like russia, they just get on with it.

Rik 2nd March 2018 02:50 PM

My postman has just come, and I’m pleased to say he shut the gate behind him for the first time ever!

Been on about similar thing today , In Darwen when I was a kid and it snowed it was hell of a lot worse then than now and the schools rarely closed we still went, so what's gone wrong how did society cope then but can't cope now puzzles me no end .
And tbh fair their was less shops , meaning their wasn't as many superstore like asda tesco etc (other supermarkets available as well) A single snowflake and as soon as of lays people panic :scared:, seriously yes it cold and windy no doubt so just put on some thick clothes or thermals and pucker up and deal with it , society really is getting to point of wet arses and wimps . like you said what we got is sod all compared to other countries bet they don't act like its end of the world .

I've never watched Fairytail, I was always put off by the amount of episodes, I'm definitely a 12 episode season person when it comes to Anime, and I might go in for a 2 season show

Rik 2nd March 2018 07:33 PM

My eldest son watches it, I remember him telling me there was 3 million and 1 episodes*

*Ok, not really that many

It's nowhere near as bad as Naruto for episodes but there are 100s of them. Naruto has 700-ish episodes all together!

In its defence it doesn't have as many as one piece or case closed which just have insane number of episodes with a lot being filler and both are still going at 800 plus episodes each.

Watched a few episodes and enjoying it, with its silliness etc it reminds me of one piece in some ways. Think it has about 260 episodes which is not as bad as some shows , the sets I got put me too 142. So will get the rest at some point

Once again, based on others reviews on here I succumbed and purchased these. So, yes, it has been praised on here as good purchase, not watched myself yet though. Two for £25 from HMV.

I bought both of those myself this month, and they are both excellent purchases! Watched them recently. Just got Punch Drunk Love outstanding to watch from this particular sale.

I’ve never seen Dark Crystal before and I was considering it earlier in HMV but couldn’t decide if I thought it’d be good. Have you seen it before?

profondo rosso 5th March 2018 09:07 PM

Dark Crystal is a fantastic film, not seen it for a few years but I can't imagine what 4K would be like!

Yes, I love it but £20 is a lot for something you haven't seen before I would get something a bit cheaper it's £5 for the blu in CEX and from 50p for the various dvd versions and if you like it then buy it.

I don’t have a 4K player, I was looking at the standard Blu which is £10 and is the new remastered version. CEX is a good call for the DVD though, I’ll try it before I buy the new BD [emoji4]
