The Lewis collection just turned up from Amazon. Pleased to get the fourteen films for £24.

The H.G.Lewis films have never appealed to me at all. The Holiday however is a classic.

Agree about The Holiday. Will be watching it tonight finishing just before midnight.

The Lewis films are pretty hit and miss with me to be honest. 2000 Maniacs is great, whilst Color Me Blood Red is crap. However most of the set i haven't seen so it will be fun (hopefully) to rediscover his films on Blu-ray. Plus at under two quid a film it seemed like a bargain not to be missed.

I’m giving this one another chance, going into it with the knowledge that it’s not ‘great’. Will hopefully like it better. From CEX, original dual format with the booklet, my old copy didn’t have it!

I have the same set on dvd (Never watched it though) and it's rated 15.

The rated 18 content is in series 3, it’s packed away so I can’t check but it might be something to do with Razor.

Purchases from the last week or two, mostly from the Christmas/Boxing Day/New Year sales.

Zodiac, District 9, Scream, Batman Forever, and Whiplash are upgrades. All the others are new titles to my collection.

I looked further into this because it made no sense that that the DVD would be rated differently if it was to do with the episode. In actuality, a deleted scene for the first episode includes a closeup of someone (won't say who for spoilers) attempting suicide with a blade. BBFC said in a statement when somebody questioned the BD being rated higher than the DVD that any reference to suicide that shows how to imitate the act is automatically an 18 cert. That deleted scene isn't included on the DVD but it's on the BD set.

The episode is Season Three, Episode One "Occupation"

'A Taste Of Honey' - BFI Blu-Ray - Price marked at £5:00, but had been reduced to £3:50...so that was good!

Just dropped into Sainsburies on my way back from work. Its a larger superstore down in Newport and sadly since I was last in there pre Christmas they have now completely dropped their physical media section. 2 large aisles of dvd/blus, cd's and video games all gone.

The one i go still has physical media. Or it did last week. However another one got rid of it all last August when an Argos moved in.

The one that still sells discs has an Argos two minutes away so perhaps stores like that will keep discs. I don't know.

Either way they barely get replacement stock in. It's been like that for months now.

That reminds me I need to finish watching the films in my Woodfall box set :) This one was the one I bought it for and never watched it, haha.
