Still haven’t got around to watching Bloody Mary yet but I enjoyed the first 2 films! |

I've seen my dvd of it a couple of times over the years and it's not a patch on the first two. |
5 Attachment(s) Quantum leap from eBay and got rest from CEx. |
@Treb - How did you manage to get US dvd's from Cex? |

But have seen none UK stuff before , it's rare |

I've never seen A Return to Salem's Lot. |

Save your sanity and keep it that way:lol: |
The Liverpool shop occasionally has some region 1 DVDs in stock. I think it depends on the person buying the stock in, they just put bbfc stickers on the case. |

They must be a purist law abiding store here then as i took in a BBC Robin Hood complete series set which was Dutch (The sound was a f*cking awful mix where one channel was split into five so voices appeared everywhere except where they should be) and appears on their website to buy and trade but they were having none of it due to it not being a UK release. |
2 Attachment(s) A couple of other purchases this week. |
Picked up a Film Noir set (Gilda/The Killers/In A Lonely Place/Double Indemnity) (UK) for £2. Happy demon!! |
Quote:
In a Lonely Place is a real favourite of mine. Bogey's called Dix Steele in the film. Can you get any more awesome than that. Probably nothing to do with Gloria Grahame either. |
I took my R1 dvd of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 into my local cex and they took it no problem. The R1 Dossier edition of Apocalypse Now though they wouldn't touch. Sent from my SM-G780G using Tapatalk |

Got it for Gilda really, as I have all the rest on vhs etc, will be interesting to see if they have any features as the box is a tad plain and undescriptive, but as I never judge a book by it's cover , I'll have them all in nice new prints regardless, looking forward to DI especially as Stanwyck is something else in the film. |
3 Attachment(s) Traded some things into Cex and got these. So probably some Fu tonight . |

Funny enough I got my Fu Manchu box out of the storage yesterday! |

I have the Fu Manchu set but yet to watch any. I didn't get Corruption as i already have the US Grindhouse release of it. |
Quote:
I also have the Grindhouse release of Corruption, which I need to get rid of, but bought the Indicator release since it appears to be the superior of the two. It has three versions of the film and superior extras. |

Some more giant frames. Haven't got most of the posters I want yet (hopefully later in the week) but I've framed (and put away) a Christmas Vacation one that I'll drag out and put up for the festive season (swapping for something else). I rather like the idea of that, and have a couple of others planned for that too. |

Latest batch of big posters. Have now framed The Fog, Moonraker, Night of the Comet and The Thing. The Fog poster in particular is stunning. Will have to wait for the weekend to put them up though! |

Is that from Old School, the Gif. Must be years since i saw that. Note to self - Check out teen comedies on Blu-ray. Your collection is sadly lacking. |

It is. Great film too. |
I’ve never seen it! I want to though now haha (easily swayed) |
2 Attachment(s) New blu-ray release of Top Gun. Yes, i'd rather buy this on blu-ray that 4K purely because of the original artwork [emoji106] Attachment 240272 Attachment 240273 |

5 Attachment(s) This weeks new arrivals. I've been after the five original Planet of the Apes films and the Tim Burton one since i've been HD compatible but never saw them at a reasonable price until this week when i snagged this used set from Onlinemusicfimsandgames via Amazon Marketplace. It's in excellent condition. The new 88 Films release of Violent City arrived on Monday and whilst i was viewing Amazon on Tuesday i noticed they'd reduced a lot of Arrow releases to the sale price so ordered another three. They were all back around the fifteen quid mark the following day. I picked Top Gun up from Asda for £7 during the week. |
I will have to politely demand an in depth review of White Fire when you watch it, my good raven!:pop2::hail: I replaced my Love, Honour & Obey due to snappage after I spotted one next door. Made by the Operation Good Guys lot, it's a cheeky take on the geezer subgenre that was prevalent at the time. Cough. As you were ....:lol: |
