I like to think it was but I have had this argument with others so many times. My reasoning was that Baxley went on to make Stone Cold, a balls-out, over-the-top action comedy. While Stone Cold is the better film, Action Jackson was the training ground for Baxley's brand of action comedy.

Plus, how on earth does a film feature Carl Weathers leap over a speeding car and not be a parody?

Their argument is that Action Jackson is just hysterically incompetent. I'll admit the editing and some production values are not up to snuff as Joel Silver's other production but, y'know, low budget and stuntman making his first feature - there's gonna be some mistakes.

Is Stone Cold the Brian Bosworth affair?

Quite good if it is.

It is. And it features his legendary / infamous mullet. Because he's Bos-worth it!

Looks like it might actually be a homage to blaxploitation if this interview with Weathers is anything to go by.Carl Weathers on Toy Story Of Terror, blaxploitation films, and James Brown · Random Roles · The A.V. Club

I'm sorry to be bothering this topic with OT discussions but how do you embed pictures onto a post. I noticed on the Sirens of the Silver Screen page that many of the photos were quite large.

By the way, if you wish for me to delete this post or move to another section, please inform me and I will do so.

You can either embed them in [IMG] tags / as per the Insert Image button via a URL source, or you can upload as an attachment either from a URL or from your computer via the Manage Attachments below the reply box. The forum automatically resizes attachments, but when you click on them they enlarge to actual size.

When uploading attachments, a new window will open and you can add your attachments and then choose to embed them if you wish (just copy and paste the unique attachment BBCode which the forum generates into the post) e.g. [attach]xxxxxx[/attach] and the image you've uploaded will be embedded rather than below in the attached items area.

Below are the two main examples of attaching pics (embedding in IMG tags direct from a URL and embedding as an attachment using the Manage Attachment function) you can quote my post in order to look at the various code if you need to:

... without embedding the attachment code you get:

Hopefully that helps!

Thank you very much.

Despite being only 27, I find myself useless when it comes to social media tools. I used to have a Facebook account and be with other forums but I deleted them years ago and went on a hiatus from social media due to the insane hostility that permeates through them.

I decided to check out here after watching a bunch of Arrow DVDs and BDs, and was amazed to find a corner of the internet that hasn't been polluted. It was a bit like this:

So, yeah, I'm a little rusty when it comes to this. Thanks again.

:thankingyou:
