It's cut, too, despite what the cover may claim.

I ordered it with some other stuff from the US a while ago and the whole order was lost in the post. All Your Music were brilliant about dealing with it. I'm only just re-ordering the films that were lost. This was in the UK and a little cheaper than AYM, so I went for 2nd hand.

demonknight 23rd June 2012 10:45 AM

Received the reptile, plague of the zombies, creature feature 4 disc dvd and dead and buried on bluray. And fangoria for a read.

They definitely are. Contact:

This has reminded me that I still haven't watched my German BD of Lost Highway that I bought ages ago! Must dig it out. I haven't seen it since it first hit video in the UK!

Hmm. Now how do i say this without any double entendre's.

Yes, thats how. Mention the word "film" in the opening sentence and not just jump in with "I really enjoyed Dick", or "Dick is really good".

Dick is a really enjoyable film. Funny but not over the top daftness, with an interesting enough plot to make it a reasonable thriller as well. Michelle Williams and Kirsten Dunst were just becoming popular and this film may have set them on the road to stardom.

Interested to know what you think of Edge of Terror. It sounds pretty good.

Haha! Yeah, Dick is great! I went to watch it the other day and it seemed I didn't have a copy - I was sure I did! So zoverstocks stepped into the breach!

I have not seen Edge Of Terror, but after Island Of Death I was curious to see another Mastorakis and this had the best rep. Also, it was a penny + postage for what turned out to be brand new and still sealed!

Spot the odd one out

A few dvds have come through - still waiting for a load, good job I still have 4 days of work until I'm off.

I can't see that anyone else has said this yet so I thought I'd step in and get it out of the way.

I like Dick.

Anyhow, I think I'll have to check out Edge of Terror as I do like Island of Death (apart from the goat scene)

Bringer Of Funerals 23rd June 2012 11:37 AM

I really want that Lost highway BD. Does anyone know if it's safe to get one or should I wait till they're all recalled?

The back of the Edge of Terror DVD is a bit wacky - it goes through the whole plot, from start to finish ! Not a bad little thriller though

Pete 23rd June 2012 07:53 PM

Just ordered the R1 MGM DVD of Enzo Castellari's SINBAD OF THE SEVEN SEAS and the VCI double DVD of JP Simon's SUPERSONIC MAN and Alfonso Brescia's WAR OF THE ROBOTS.

i'd wait for a recall. My lost highway disc is fine, and my twin peaks disc has a couple of errors but nowhere near as much as others seem to, but from what I gather, i'm in the minority.

Thanks for that Paul. I'll watch the film and see whether my disc has been too badly affected and, if it has, I'll send an e-mail and try and get a replacement sent out.

I think the replacement program is good until November anyway, mate :)

That's good to know, so I don't need to be in a desperate rush to watch the disc, even if it is near top priority on my pile of unwatched discs!

I'm probably going to get kicked off this thread for talking about a DVD, but my 'Jurassic Park' box set is exactly the same

Sadly, I bought it a few years ago and by the time I got round to watching the films, the receipt was well-and-truly gone, so I am stuck with unviewable movies

I'm sure that's ever expanding and titles are often relegated in favour of newer acquisitions!
