LOL! I've ordered "The Chain Reaction" and the R1 "Wolf Creek" (got the extra scene in) as I saw it at the cinema but did not own it..only £1.95.

Far as I remember "PatricK" was rather dull...but the clips in the doc made it look good!

There are 2 great 'Ozploitation" box sets out in Australia with about 16 of the films covered in the doc. But they're over £30 + postage each and they seem only available from Australia.

The Collector

A carpenter in dire straits decides to burglarize the home where he recently finished a job. The family is supposed to be on vacation/holiday, but he quickly discovers he is not alone in the house. A masked serial killer is already inside and has set elaborate, violent contraptions throughout. The carpenter is now trapped without an escape plan, along with the owners of the house.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one with some good kills and suspense. The Blu-ray, on the other hand, looks terrible though it likely reflects its low-budget origins. The audio is much better and amusing -- makes interesting use Bauhaus's "Bela Lugosi's Dead."

oaxaca 13th April 2010 07:00 AM

Hey I don't think you two need worry as it still says there's 3 available on the site lol. Maybe they have a bottomless pit of them. Its strange that it was £4 new yet £15 used! Everywhere else I've looked its been £15+ too. A real bargain!:heh:

I'd like to thank KPWNINJA for bringing it to our attention :D

Yeah cheers buddy! I'd also like to thank Kelly (my g/f) for making me stay awake late enough to grab the bargain too, was going to go bed at 11. I'm suffering now though, shattered is an understatement.

oaxaca 13th April 2010 09:57 AM

Well amazon's my first port of call for all bargains (so i figured that was a good place to look), followed by Play, then CEX, then ebay :p Its surely every members' solemn duty to point out bargains when we see them

I'm really tempted to pick up Descent II blind, but just not sure. Is it any good?

I liked the concept of Law Abiding Citizen but I think the ending is utter shit -- almost ruins the whole thing for me. Just my thoughts, of course.

pedromonkey 13th April 2010 11:38 PM

totally agree with you on Law Abiding Citizen, the end ruined the film....

i got The Day of The Dead Blu delivered today, it's so Awesome, and i got The Signal, a film ive had for a while, but not on disc, now i have a pristine new shiney disc for it....

uzumaki 14th April 2010 02:19 AM

I recently snagged Ashes of Time and Let the Right One In, but haven't had a chance to watch either in full. From the quick peek I took, they both look quite nice, though.

oaxaca 14th April 2010 02:03 PM

Went and got:

Bride with white hair 1 (tartan)
Fearless (Jet Li)
House (AB)
Friday13th 6 & 8 (my 2 faves :p)

All from CEX (BwWH was most expensive @ £3.50)

pedromonkey 14th April 2010 02:11 PM
