Great day, nice weather and a good haul... not as good as my mate who grabbed 3 as new Puma sweatshirts out of one of the charity shops for £10, but I was happy enough to find these... Arrival BD was £3.99, the Royal Flash R1 s.e. dvd w/slipcase 99p and the box sets were culled old stock from Oxfam at 99p each (Bleach was a real find at 20 episodes over 5 discs) although a tinge of sadness as Oxfam film and record store will no longer have VHS tapes as the market is just too small...:sorry:

I really enjoyed both those films bleakshaun. Both live very happily in my collection.

I've never seen The Eye before and it's been years since I've seen The Thaw, I remember enjoying it though

Was thinking of preordering that; still on the fence. Lovely looking artwork.

Never seen it but heard great things and it is a beautiful looking steelbook

Picked up Neill Blomkamp's Elysium from Cex for 1.50 pounds (pleasingly the blu-ray was in mint condition). Watched tonight and really enjoyed it. Sure it's not as good as his incredibly mighty District 9 debut but that was probably a tall order. It's still a way more than decent sci-fi film with very realistic effects. Few cheesy moments but nothing too catastrophic imo.

Also caught 40 mins of 3rd film Chappie on tv the other day and rather liked that also (which surprised me after reading lots of negativity). So I also ordered a copy of that. btw Unlike some other folks, Chappie's South African rappers performances didn't bother me, it's Stephen King's Creepshow appearance all over again. Which means that you would just assume that they were real actors if you didn't know better.

btw Is a shame that Blomkamp's proposed Alien film apparently won't be going ahead. Whilst I do still like Prometheus and Covenant enough to keep, they're still not that great and I would have been more excited to see this younger effects savvy director's take on the famous franchise.

Gangs of wesseypur been meaning to get and watch this for a while, forgot all about it until recently saw them for sale so bought them.
Slip covers are a tadge tatty but apart from one where small rip hence why they put sticker on no, no real damage
Looking at time stated say on back both about 154 min each but looking at DVD rewind states they are 159\ 160 and there is no mention of owt being cut on movie cencorship site.
