Yup, noticed this. Sadly H3 is cut (and looks like a bootleg imo!!)

It's the older release copies they are flogging, these are cut, missing part of the SPOILER

Part of the head removal, the attack in the hospital, the attack on the technician etc. Handy for target practice that's all.

Get the R1 one. Safe that is.

Wes 23rd September 2013 06:53 PM

If anyone what's to make a spoiler tab try this neat bit of code that Bdc taught me (thanks dude!)

So the space before the text spoiler= should be removed (it's just included here so the code can be illustrated.)

[ spoiler=The Big twist at the end]Is the head in the box[/spoiler]

Try it out, see if it works for you...

SPOILER:
Is the head in the box

GRAVEYARD DISTURBANCE!! Wow I'd forgotten about that. I had that on DVD , must have been about a decade ago, came in a weird flat transparent plastic DVD case, could have been a US copy. I remember the film itself being a bit tame, similar to Demons 3 (I think it was one of Bava's made-for-TV horrors?) and involved a bunch of kids stumbling around a graveyard and some tombs/catacombs. I think :p

I remember the cover from renting it as a kid, didn't even know who bava was back then, but for 1.40 I can't complain. Little I can remember I don't know why it says 18 on box, didn't seem to violent or gory

J Harker 24th September 2013 12:31 AM

Hasn't Withnail and I already had 76 different releases?

It's not a film I like very much either, so every new release is more pointless than the last.

Couple from Amazon US - 'The Lords of Salem' came with a slipcase, which wasn't expected, and it is pretty impressive. It's 3D, but doesn't really show up in the photo's.

Another pic of the slipcase - still doesn't show up very well.

Looks nice better than I was expecting from pictures, was going to watch films in order of when they where made but think I shall watch psycho first, it was also sealed when I got it, just a dent on the bottom left side like its been dropped but for £18 you can't complain!

Think I might order north by northwest steelbook which is one of my favourite hitchcocks

Bringer Of Funerals 24th September 2013 03:04 PM

Still waiting for my Mill Creek sets and I ordered them before I went away

Picked this up 2day for £5 from cash converters.
The bloke at the counter looked really annoyed coz all blue-rays are £5, seemed that someone didn't put a higher price tag on it so he had to give it to me at normal price. Left feeling a little bit chuffed. The man at the counters sad wistful look added to my pleasure.:)

Does your cash converters have those horrid yellow stickers that leave a mess on the case? I saw one of those Reservoir dogs tins in my local, the bloke took great pride in telling me how much the thing was worth on ebay. Then I pointed out how much LESS it would be worth thanks to the horrible gluey stain and bits of yellow sticker from trying to remove it! Then I bought the region 1 anchor bay release of A BETTER TOMORROW which is actually more expensive on occassion online for 99p. The silly sods dont check their DVDS

Had a similar experience in cash gen. Got a blu-ray for £3.99 which is the cheapest they do them for. It was SONS OF ANARCHY SEASON 4, the case was cracked and because it was regular amray sized they thought it was a regular Blu!!!:pound:

keirarts 25th September 2013 08:10 AM

ALLYOURMUSIC are doing PRINCE OF DARKNESS blu-ray at £11.57 btw... Just picked it up!:woot:

I HATE those stickers. I spend about 45 minutes trying to get the sticker gunk off of every DVD I've ever bought from Cash Converters!!!

It's just bizzare hearing someone prattle on about how collectible an item is after they have just devalued the damn thing by sticking one of those awful stickers on.

SCM 25th September 2013 10:06 AM

No they didn't have any stickers on at all except for the sets which were obviously marked because they were more expensive, they didn't even have a sign up saying the prices, just pure laziness.
I asked the bloke and he said £5 unless marked, so i grabbed the tin quick.:)

nosferatu42 25th September 2013 03:29 PM

Price label stickers are one of the things that really make my blood boil, can't imagine the amount of time ive spent trying to take the little bastards off new dvds.:mmph:
The worst is when they're on a cardboard slipcase and it gets ripped trying to remove the labels. AAAArgh !!!!:(
