Not even dispatched for me! :mmph:

Bunch of other stuff turned up though including...

Attachment 144042

Just a heads up. It's region free. Has two commentary tracks including one from John Woo and a bunch of other extras including deleted scenes and making of.
Plus unlike the UK one its uncut.
Double bonus its piss cheap on Amazon.

Hawkmonger 5th September 2014 04:52 PM

Never seen Face Off but it looks hilariously bad so might just take a gander.

With receiving Star Trek original series blu ray set this week, I couldn't believe my luck and thought all my birthdays and Christmas had come at once, when I noticed these in a branch of cash converters. Spend more than I should of at £20 each BUT I had to get them at that prices don't think I'll see them that cheap for a long time :woot::woot:

Well I've said it before and will say it again the first season (and second) of TNG have not aged well and all, TOS has actually aged better apart from it's attitude to women who are either hysterically and over emotional are cold hearted bitches! But I suppose that's a product of the time.

You go to the most incredible markets and car boot sales! Do you have any idea how many DVDs you own?

JoshuaKaitlyn 7th September 2014 12:30 PM

Wife picked up a load of freebies from a facebook for sale or swap group:
Pretty Woman
Miss Potter
Corrina, Corrina
Saturday Night Fever
The Cable Guy
Big Daddy
Me, Myself & Irene
Burn After Reading
How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days
Bloodfist
Bloodfist II
Bloodfist III
Bloodfist IV
It Could Happen to You
Spiders
Amusement
The Mask
When a Man Loves a Woman
Made in Britain
The Wiz

A lot of mainstream crap and a lot of stuff I would never have bought in a month of Sundays but a few pieces I needed for my historical cinema project.

Edit

The only ones I have seen are howling 1 and 2 so will be interesting to see if the rest are any good.

Ironically Trebor can hire you a hitman for a few quid... He is a resourceful bargain hunter who knows no bounds. :)

nosferatu42 7th September 2014 03:38 PM

Still he's got good taste in movies so i'll let him off.:pop2:

its is a van. which has been painted etc to look the A-team van, which is funny as he looks little like dwight schultz(Murdock)!

will have to take some photos next time

nosferatu42 7th September 2014 05:18 PM

Not seen them all but they're definitaly cult items so i'm jealous. i love watching weird stuff me. :pop2:
Flesh for frankenstein is entertaining but i prefer blood for Dracula myself. Franco's Dracula is good in it's portrayal of Dracula but let down by a random attack of stuffed animals.
Delirium is sleazy giallo greatness.:)
Howling 2 is entertaining if your in the right mood, watch out for Sybil Danning she'll have your eye out.;)
Faceless is sort of enjoyable but has a terrible theme tune that is repeated over and over.
I've sort of lost track, but i do know i need to find out how to spell definitaly correctly.;)

nosferatu42 7th September 2014 05:26 PM

Had another look at your post.
Howling 1 is class entertainment.:)
Werewolfs shadow is good as are most Naschy films i've watched, so you've got a couple that i'd like to see.
I've heard Lorely's grasp is entertaining.
Dracula blows his cool sounds like a porn film.
Jack Palance as Dracula, think i saw that once, but you know palance he probably spends more time chewing the scenery than fair maidens necks.
Oh and Jess Franco is the movie equivalent of 'Tales of the Unexpected' so they're always worth spinning to see what the dirty old bugger's been up to his hands in, ahem if u know what i mean.;)

Lookin forward to acquiring Networks Blu-Ray of Hands of the Ripper for my Birthday on the 25th.

Crimson Blade 7th September 2014 09:05 PM

Recently ordered
direct from Network. No doubt at least half of the price of HMV if Hands of The Ripper and Monster Club are anything to go by. :D

Is that the tagline for a Stephen Segal movie?

Both of these arrived on Friday...

Two of my favourite movies. The 'Burbs blu ray is great, I loved the making of documentary. I honestly never thought I'd see someone put so much effort into this film, I always felt like no one else appreciated it. God, I love this movie!
