I get 5% cashback on all HMV or ZAAVI purchases. HMV have proven a lot more reliable so I tend to stick with them. You can also get cashback from play.com as well.

I use Quidco, and have done for ages. Do not too infrequent payments from them shows how much I buy!

Ditto. ;)

Me three! Quidco rate of 5% cashback effectively makes them £13.30 each which seems decent to me! Does anyone know if HMV operates a similar policy to amazon in that the final price gets fixed at the lowest value if fluctuation occurs?

I also cancelled my zavvi order of ROTLD steely and ordered at HMV too. More cashback and faster delivery is win-win!

edit: Just pre-ordered THE REPTILE and PLAGUE OF ZOMBIES too. I'll flog my old Optimum DVDs to cex, should contribute a couple of quid to the proceedings.

As far as I know HMV do have the same policy as Amazon as I've ordered something (I forget what) from them and, as the price had dropped between my order and when it was shipped, I was only charged the price at the time shipping.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 29th May 2012 06:22 PM

I've just had an e-mail from Planet Axel to let me know Harold and Maude will be shipped shortly and, judging by the Orders section, it already has – woo hoo!

Waiting on return of the living dead bluray and dvd,the reptile and
Plague of the zombies both bluray/dvd combo releases.

artisturn 29th May 2012 07:43 PM

Just ordered Ghostkeeper.

This normally more then I like to pay for movies but I find with the smaller independent labels I am making more and more exceptions when it comes to DVD prices.

As a horror movie fan it is these independent companies that are releasing films that I really look forward too and the major labels are not really releasing movies that have me excited about buying.

My stranger/kansas city double bill turned up this morning. Like all the other HD cinema classics releases it says region A on the back but is totally region free. Looks pretty decent, but then neither film ever looked a million dollars so I wasn't expecting a miracle nor did I get one.

Was expecting ISLAND OF LOST SOULS to land as well but that one looks like it'll be tommorrow, and i'm at work 2-10:15 and again friday 9:30-2:30 so that one will have to wait a few days. Still plenty to watch and the weather looks to be taking a turn for the worse so i'll try and get a few things watched.

Baseball Fury 30th May 2012 11:34 AM

My Demons 2 finally turned up yesterday (after PREordering it with Amazon!). No idea why it took so long.

My David Lynch box set has been dispatched by Play.com as well. Huzzah!

Find A Place To Die is good fun. That version is slightly cut, but I don't think we'll ever get anything better, sadly.

Great film though...but I am somewhat biased!

The three Castellari crime films are excellent. STREET LAW in particular is fantastic. THE BIG RACKET was banned in the UK and the DVD was cut by the BBFC (would go through uncut now)

A BLADE IN THE DARK is ok but overlong. Was originally supposed to be a TV mini-series.

SHOCK is excellent.

COMPANIEROS is great and has a really catchy theme song. RUN MAN RUN is excellent and has a great SW doc from the 60's with loads of behind the scenes footage. FOUR OF THE APOCALYPSE is ok but very depressing. Not your typical SW. Ignore the blurb at the back - it's not the bloodbath it makes it out to be. It does have it's moments though.

SHORT NIGHT OF THE GLASS DOLLS is one of the best Giallo's I've seen and would love a BD release. BLOODSTAINED SHADOW is a good film certainly better than Bido's previous THE CAT'S VICTIMS/WATCH ME WHEN I KILL. Has Stefania Casini in, which is a bonus.

Bringer Of Funerals 30th May 2012 06:48 PM

Ive bought

Red Dwarf 1-3
Waking The Dead series 1
Most Haunted series 1
Ninja Dragon / Seperate Lives (2 films on 1 dvd)
UFC 58 - USA Vs Canada

That pack is just missing The Case of the Bloody Iris from the original Anchor Bay Giallo Collection

Death Game
Don't Open the Door
House of the Living Dead
Night Creature
Scream Bloody Murder
Sisters of Death
Twillight People
The Vampire Happening
Young Hannah:Queen of the Vampires
