That's good to know. I haven't seen the film before so, when looking to buy it, checked the specs of the various releases and decided there was no point buying the R1 DVD when the BD was available for a few quid more.

I'm a massive Friedkin fan so should love To Live and Die in L.A.

One of the first bd's I bought to test my player.
I've got the Dutch version,btw is there no UK version?

Nope, there isn't a UK release and I was only aware of the US BD; I didn't know there were any others.

With the crappy artwork where they've replaced William Petersen's head! I guess the original wasn't good enough for them!

Holocaust 2000 (1977)(Canal+ r2)Always had a soft spot for this daft Kirk Douglas 'Omen' rip-off.Quite like the Morricone score too & there's a great partial decapitation by helicopter that puts the one in Dawn Of The Dead to shame.I've heard the French subs are unremovable on the English language version but I've had no trouble removing them on other French releases though it's sometimes awkward.
