Which paranoia agent release is it? The uk release is very briefly cut, removing a scene depicting a suicide because it was 'instructional' and clearly people can't figure out how to kill themselves so I bet it prevented tons of suicides. (SACRCASM!)
I'm really bad when it comes to anime. I could probably count the amount of anime films I've seen on two hands, and series on one. So I fully admit I know next to nothing about it.

However, Paranoia Agent was for me one of the best I've seen. I have little basis for comparison, but I loved every mental moment!

Finally ordered The Curse OF Frankenstein BD, and preordered the German Beverly Hills Cop Collection BD set. I can see BHC not having a reversible cover without the FSK logo, even with a site saying Paramount BD's do have them. Time will tell!

Just fresh from a screening of Halloween - I try to catch this every Halloween night, but after this time I think the film needs a rest for a while - familiarity and all that. I must say Dean Cundey's camerawork is often stunning - really brilliant use of light, and I'm wondering if Carpenter was riffing on Antonioni for the finale - Antonioni's closing of The Eclipse had a montage of empty spaces, devoid of people, just like the final sequence of Halloween...

Pounced on the half price Criterion sale at Barnes & Noble and got:

Rosemary's Baby
Harold & Maude
Shock Corridor

Some great sounding extras on all of those. Can't wait . . .
