I've no idea how this happened, but that's the first I've seen of Pearl, so many thanks for buying it and posting the picture here.

After reading the synopsis on the HMV website (where it is £6.99), I'll probably go into town to buy it next week so I can watch it as half of a double bill with X.

As mentioned elsewhere on here, I think in the Up and Coming Films thread, I bought Safe House, The Butler, American Sniper, and Twister from Music Magpie for the grand total of £5.

Haha, no problem. No idea how you missed it. Seems to pop up on Amazon recommendation lists for me constantly.

I didn't buy X (or any other Ti West films) from Amazon, so that's probably why it hasn't been recommended by the algorithm. If it had a cinematic release, it wasn't in the Vue here and I haven't seen any trailers on YouTube.

I liked X quite a lot it was good decent and well made, I had few small minor gripes with it, (can’t remember what now)
I started watching pearl few month back but got to the scarecrow scene and something cropped up that I had to come back to it, but I didn’t, anyhow I watched it this week, by god what a fantastic film, found everything about it was a delight and extremely well made in every sense, and didn’t rely on too much violence / gore, or become controversial for controversial sake, something I can’t say a lot about vast majority of todays films, concentrated more on a storyline about a bored young girl who was fed up of her boring everyday lifestyle and wanted more than what her mum was giving her, and as for Mia Goth what a outstanding actress she is, modern day classic imo, only things that annoys me is when it comes to Oscar’s such great film like this get left out and goes to films that tbh sometimes aren’t that great but only up for nominations because it did well at the cinema, but I am certainly looking forward to the next instalment because pearl was a step up from X and even better.
Something I will certainly go back to.

From Cex. I imagine this steelbook is cheaper than the regular Blu at a mere £3.

The photo looks odd. It's a lovely glossy black all over in reality.

I know that feeling all too well! In a way I wish I didn't though!

I know that feeling because my 'to watch' pile is very big. Every time I tell myself I should stop buying things for a few months, there is either a sale somewhere or some limited editions are released, so that she's wants never seems to shrink.

A Cex credit purchase. They say the camera never lies but the box doesn't look as as smeary as that in reality.
