An interesting one that. Far from the best but it has some good ideas.

Picked up this great looking mediabook blu-ray from Amazon Germany today. 3 versions of the film, the German theatrical cut, the international cut, and the extended version all in HD. The German theatrical cut has a couple of SD inserts, but not really a problem as i'll probably never watch that one.

CEX

The Kenny Everett Video Show - 6 disc DVD

So... I had looked at the CEX website before going into town, and I noticed that they had the above for ?28:00. It's something that Chloe and I used to watch, back in the day, as we regularly quote parts of the programme to each other

Anyway, I went into town and did what I had to do (get some vapes, coffee and 'toad-in-the-hole') and I popped into CEX in my way back. They still had the DVD on the shelf, so I picked it up... and it was priced at ?25:00 - apparently it *had* gone up, but they hadn't bothered to change the price on the box (typical CEX staff!)

I took it to the counter, used a voucher I had, and got it for ?15:00

Apparently it's the ITV series, so it doesn't have Gizzard Puke, General Sherman Cheeseburger or Cupid Stunt and some of the musical guests have been edited out (so no Wings or Kate Bush) but hopefully my memory isn't lying, and it's still as sidesplitting as it was 40 years ago

I really enjoyed the Evil Dead remake. Really need to give it another watch. I've kind of lost track with the Texas Chainsaw franchise though. That's not the Michael Bay produced one is it?

No idea, could be. I do have the dvd but couldn't remember it at all so just took a chance.

I also like ED remake. Didn't at first but it kept drawing me back so was happy to upgrade my dvd.

No it isn't. I was thinking of the first remake from 2003. Didn't realise it was that old.

Picked up a Lost Boys 4K UHD/blu-ray set from Cex. Priced at 12 pounds but I also had a few bits to trade in. Looks pretty stunning on both discs. Even if you can't play 4K UHD discs, it's worth considering a purchase as the included blu-ray is remastered and looks a lot better than the older standalone 1080p option.
