Yeah, there are some great discs in the Flipside collection; they act almost as a window into the swinging and Wyrd Britain of yesteryear.

I own quite a few of them, my favourites being:

The Bed Sitting Room (offbeat post-apocalyptic comedy)
Deep End (coming of age drama/infatuation tale with the lovely Jane Asher)
Little Malcolm (wacky, socio-political character piece with John Hurt)
Requiem for a Village (weird, dreamy ruralness)
Schalcken the Painter (mysterious gothic curio)
Sleepwalker (bizarre supernatural slasher)

...and I also really like PERMISSIVE possibly the only film about pub circuit prog rock bands and their groupies you will ever need to see. The whole thing reeks of pints of mild, nicotine stained fingers and features a brief glimpse of the excellent folk/prog weirdness that is the band Comus.

Ditto.
There are some other great titles, too - 'The Black Panther', which captures the dour, bleak vibe of washed-up seventies England: 'Herostratus' for something more epically sixties pop-psychedelic: 'Nightbirds', which is a very odd monochrome Andy Milligan film: and my personal favourite, 'Duffer', a bizarre stream of home-erotic consciousness which is simultaneously somehow lyrical and ugly.

I still need to see Permissive and Duffer.

Completely agree with your other choices too, Frankie.

I too need to see 'Permissive', but 'Duffer' is wicked, a Stephen Thrower rediscovery as I recall.

I've bumped them both up my mental shopping list. Amazon often discount the Flipside titles to around £8 at Xmas so I'll probably pick them up then.

Thrower had a good piece about it on his blog.

The Flipsides are one of my favourite series of Blu rays, unearthing some real UK gems from yesteryear.
Some great titles already suggested - I'd also add Pete Walker's MAN OF VIOLENCE, Barney Platts - Mills' wonderful PRIVATE ROAD and THAT SINKING FEELING.
