Hi everyone,

We all know the UK has created some incredible films over the years, but what about Scotland specifically?

Which films have you seen that are mainly Scottish? What are the best films set in Scotland?

Check out the trailer to the hilarious twisted comedy from Robert Carlyle, The Legend Of Barney Thomson. It's surely the most Scottish trailer you'll ever see!

The Legend Of Barney Thomson is out in UK cinemas this Friday!

The Battle of the Sexes (1959) for me. An adorable comedy set in Scotland, with a superb cast (Peter Sellers and Robert Morley, among others) and many hilarious scenes. Directed by Charles Crichton, this nice little film is a personal favourite of mine. Highly recommended.

I'm going to be predictable and mention both Shallow Grave and Trainspotting as personal favourites.

I was going to say Shallow Grave and Gregory's Girl but they've been mentioned so I'll add Dog Soldiers into the mix
