Perhaps not in effect but in practice, with gangsterism in a class by itself because it is a mixture of the two. Gangsters engage in things like racketeering, extortion, bootlegging, kidnapping, punishment beatings and even murder in the name of profit. As Michael Corleone said to justify the murder of a police captain: "it's strictly business."

This weeks subject is

Films where the Weather is a predominant Factor.

No, not Carl Weathers, the weather. You know, like wind, rain, snow, sun.

There are probably loads I haven't thought of yet but, as per usual, in no particular order:

The Thing (snow)
The Ice Storm (ice and snow)
The Fog (fog)
The Shining (snow)
The Mist (mist if that is weather – I think it is)
Snowpiercer (snow)
The Revenant (snow)
Tracks (sun)
Hard Rain (rain)
Burning Bright (hurricane/wind)
