What an interesting subject! When I first read it, I instantly assumed rape and revenge, before seeing others entries made me realize what could actually be considered revenge. I've chosen mine based on a mix of how good the revenge is, and how good the movie is.

10. Death Proof
9. Gladiator
8. V For Vendetta
7. Memento
6. Oldboy
5. The Skin I Live In
4. Theatre of Blood
3. The Revenant
2. Once Upon A Time In The West
1. Sympathy for Lady Vengeance

I agree Fuzzy man revenge films I was left Unsatisfied by the revenge especially. Rape revenge if I have to sit through 30+ minutes of a woman getting raped and brutalised I expect the revenge to be as long and brutal no swift justice for me.

I'm awful at making up lists. I have so many favourites, I'd have to do a top 50. Even then it wouldn't be in any particular order

I agree, that's why I didn't put Savage Streets on the list. Great entertaining movie, but revenge wise I was very disappointed. Skin I Live In and Lady Vengeance are great examples of good revenge, because theyre twisted and long and very clever, and anyone who has seen Lady Vengeance can testify for what a powerful haunting movie it is.

Good call on I Drink Your Blood, it almost made my list but got trumped by Femmes de Sade. So did Porky's, Animal House, and Revenge of the Nerds!
