Watched One Crazy Summer again last night .. .. Hmmm wish I had left it in the 80s. I was younger then and appreciated Savage Steve Holland's comedies more. Guess I am a little too grown up now.

Very PG yeah. Watched Savage Steve Hollands other movie Better Off Dead last night ... seems to have stood the test of time a little better. Tonights retro movie is the 2 Corey's 80s flick License To Drive

Restless Natives is a lot of fun and Comfort And Joy is one I return to every Christmas. It's a shame I only have it on a (now) very worn VHS. It's probably my favourite Bill Forsyth film along with That Sinking Feeling .

I think I'll drop PRINCE PURPLE RAIN into the mix too, Cheesy and cringe-worthy in parts, but the on stage performances by Prince are the stuff of legend. Maurice Day and the Time were so funny in this film, a lot of fun. The night club the movie featured, where the gigs took place, was just the coolest. Very, nearly as cool as the Brixton Academy. |
