Nope, just the satisfaction of watching those huffing and puffing while they wait, convinced they'll be able to pick up a disc somewhere else
Pete likes this.

Prefer the Fright Night remake? That's just started a nervous tick in my face! Hope you're proud of yourself?

Ha! Tbh I don't care about missing out on them nor do I care if they don't get released elsewhere. I'd only be bothered if they were releasing rare Euro stuff like STRIKE COMMANDO. I'd cry like a baby if I missed that!

Funny thing is I used to like Fright night back in the day then caught some of it on Youtube recently and I thought that it hadn't aged very well.

Being a person who usually despises remakes, it's even stranger that I found the new Fright Night to be ok although admittedly some of that may be down to being a huge 10th Doctor fan

I completely missed out on the Twilight Time Christine release as I wasn't overly bothered about buying it in the first place. If it had been available everywhere for the same price with an unlimited supply, I probably would have waited a couple of weeks to see if the price dropped.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the film, but I wasn't going to pay over the odds for a copy on BD.

Fright Night is not a movie I love so it was a easy pass and Im not too bothered about another release or not. However I grew up watching Christine and still love the movie so its got a place in my heart cos of nostalgic reasons!

Whatever makes you feel better about spending an absurd amount on a blu-ray. I'm sure there are ways to, ahem, *acquire* the film at a much lower cost.

I'm sure there are, but I'm a collector, not a thief (If I understand correctly) and I don't consider £30 an absurd amount of money, so I don't need to make myself feel better.

I do consider £25 for one blu absurd but I still bought one!
Its the only time I will buy a TT release.
Criterion on the other hand is worth the £18 - £20 price tag they charge.

God help you if you had been collecting dvds in the old days Joking. In all seriousness though, I see no difference in spending £30 on a BD (or dvd hardbox) than people spending the same or even more, on clothes. In fact, the discs are better value. Be here long after that pair of jeans or trainers are consigned to the trash.
