OK, it was a misunderstanding. It happens on the internet where tone goes to die, even when emoticons are used. But regardless of your intention, you still said something stupid. You brought up Dread Central because I write for them, and they attached their name to some shitty film, saying my opinion couldn’t be taken seriously. Not cool, joking or not. I think you can understand why I told you to shut up. But I’ll forget about it now, and move on. ;)

Jurassic Shark (2012)

Exactly the same plot as the later Raiders of the Lost Shark (2015). A plot that consists of various people that can't act standing on a lake shore before being eaten by the worst CGI shark you've ever seen. Except this time it's a Megalodon (Generally thought to be about 60ft long) that no one ever sees coming as it snatches unsuspecting idiots out of two inches of undisturbed water.

This is even worse than the aforementioned Raiders of the Lost Shark because it's 8 minutes longer. I truly don't know how films such as this are approved for release.

Things are looking up because the remaining three films in Ultimate 5-Movie Shark Collection are Asylum produced movies so should be a bit of a step up from unintentional horrors like this.

Purple Rain (1984, Robert Magnoli)

Acting. It's a broad church. So watching a film with only 2 actors ... in a film that isn't a two hander:lol: ... can be fun. Tbh it's not the worst music related film I have seen. That would be American Satan . A strugglng singer competes with another musician .... why I'm unsure? More like a old Hollywood tale about two rival hoofers 'updated' for an 80s audience.
Not as utterly CAMP as Under The Cherry Moon.

Rise of the footsoldier 2007

The true story of Carlton Leach, from being a football hooligan to being a club bouncer then becoming a member of a gangster around London and Essex between the 80s and 90s.

This is one great stylish british movies based on the story of the Range Rover murders. Ex Eastenders star Craig Fairbrass plays hot head coke dealer and user Pat Tate who enjoys the life or being the hard man who wants to own every club in Essex, Terry Stone plays Tony Tucker who was Tate's right hand man in the drug scene and Craig Rolfe.

Ricci Harnett's portrayal as Carlton Leach was brilliant as the ex football hooligan to joining the ranks of the gangster firm. The soundtrack does keep us entertained
Its not a slow paced movies where other biopic movies have been, well worth a watch.

Watched a cool 80's science-fiction on Youtube I had never heard of before called Wavelengh (1983). Apparently, this has never got a DVD or Blu-Ray release but has a good quality VHS rip on Youtube. See link below.

Not only has it has got a cracking score from Tangerine Dream, but it is actually a very decent film, which I really enjoyed. I would love to see this put out by Arrow, would make a phenomenal release but I can see hell freezing over sooner than that, unfortunately.

Youtube does have alot of old and rare movies uploaded on there that seem to have been forgotten about, that one you watched Buboven does seem good.

It was a very pleasant surprise, have you heard or watched it before?

It gets bonus points for me for having an actor who is also in Joe Dante's original Piranha. He does a great job with his character too!

Very interesting trivia on IMBD. Nice to see the main female character was apparently a former band member of The Runaways! She gives a terrific performance. That makes me like it even more. Apparently,
SPOILER:
the spaceship effect was also used in Carpenter's Star Man

Would love to see Arrow or even 88 Films release this since it is from New World Pictures. It needs it more than the 20th edition of Halloween!

Nice, will do.

A proper release would really give justice to the nice visuals in Wavelength too, some of the shots are pretty impressive.

Rise of the footsoldier part 2

The aftermath of the execution of Pat Tate, Tony Tucker and Craig Rolfe, Carlton Leach is living with a drug fuelled paranoia as well as trying to stay on top.

Ricci Harnett reprises his role as Carlton aswell as writer and director of this film, this film focuses more on a downward spiral of the previous events to looking over your shoulder type to building your own life back.

This film seemed to be on a low tight budget that seems to swap and change locations in a blink of an eye, again with the previous movie it's filmed at a good steady pace and can have a good entertainment value to it.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

A Nightmare on Elm Street is the first 18-rated horror film I ever saw when I was 11 years old, and I rate it as one of the best of the genre. Wes Craven played an important role in shaping modern horror, making four hugely influential films from the ‘70s to the ‘90s; he came along and changed the genre three times in as many decades. Unfortunately, other than these milestones of The Last House on the Left (1972), The Hills Have Eyes (1977), this, and Scream (1996), Craven spent the most of the rest of his career churning out mediocrity as a glorified hack. The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988), and The People Under the Stairs (1991), are a couple of his notable underrated exceptions. The A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise itself is also a mixed bag, running out of steam from its fourth entry onwards. This was until its creator returned to the series to give us something unique and refreshing, and again underappreciated, with the meta and satirical Scream prototype New Nightmare (1994).

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
Before I start I just wanted to mention that Jurassic Park 3 was the last Jurassic park film I had seen before this and the first film is still incredible to this day.

After an incredible opening where a mercenary is chased through the park by a T. Rex while trying to be saved by his fellow mercenaries helicopter.

After that Jeff Goldblum cameos as his character from the first two movies arguing whether or not dinosaurs should be saved from a volcanic eruption happening at the park.

A woman is convinced to go and save them from the island and her ex boyfriend reluctantly tags along with her.

So the first half of the film is the woman and her rescue group trying to save the dinosaurs from the island... this is by far the best part of the film.

After they are rescued, they are brought to America and some escape from captivity and run amok.

I found this film very average and extremely forgettable, so forgive me for not going Into a lot of detail. The humour for the most part I found quite cringey, a few characters really annoying (some of which sadly didn't die) and although I am perfectly able to suspend disbelief that dinosaurs were cloned and now walk around Earth, some of the characters actions really made me say "Oh, come on!!!" Or "Oh, for ****'s sake!" out loud. Thankfully, the cinema was pretty much empty.

The always enjoyable Ted Levine was fun in it, as was the Donald Tump-esqe businessman character and there was a visual reference to one of my favourite films of all time, Nosferatu, that I enjoyed. All in all, this was a very disappointing film that started off well, but ended up getting really cartoon-y, with some dodgy effects whenever there was too much going on on-screen. Most importantly, the film isn't scary or fun. A film about dinosaurs has to be fun!

I cannot understand why it warranted a 12A rating, as I found this would have been perfectly acceptable of a PG, especially considering the first movies is a PG and a hell of a lot scarie. 5/10

The House of Mortal Sin (1976).

Pete Walker film, starring Anthony Sharp as a deranged and sexually repressed priest who tapes and blackmails his parishioners after hearing their confessions.

When Jenny, played by Susan Penhaligon, turns up at the church looking for help, she becomes his latest victim. Murder soon follows, as the priest becomes obsessed with every aspect of Jenny's life.

Top notch british thriller, in the traditional 70's style. Great cast, including Stephanie Beacham, as well.
Very highly recommended 8/10.

Halloween II (1981)

The new 'alternative' sequel is ignoring this, and while I'm all for getting back to the roots of the original film's mythology, and the true concept of Michael Myers, I still really enjoy this one. It's the only Myers related Halloween worth bothering with after the first. I think 4 and H20 have some good moments, but they don't come together as good films overall, and the rest are just terrible. What II really gets wrong is the unnecessary and frankly stupid sister revelation. Other than that, this is a darkly atmospheric solid entry into the early '80s Golden Age of the slasher sub-genre, which this film's masterful predecessor influenced.

Rise of the footsoldier 3 2017.

Prequel to Rise of The footsoldier focuses on the life of criminal Pat Tate.

Craig Fairbrass returns to his role of Tate, which shows a bit more of his life from escaping custody to staying in Spain, returning to Britain, and trying to make a name for himself.

Unlike its predecessors this film is based on fiction not and not fact, but still worth a watch, it would be more interesting if there was a bit of a back story as to why he became a drug fuelled psychopath.

Dead Man's Shoes 2004

A ex soldier returns home and vows revenge on the men who brutalised his mentally challenged brother years ago.

This was the first time i had seen this movie and got it on a blind buy, this is like a modern day british version of Death Wish 1974.

Paddy Consadine's performance as Richard was brilliant, seeing the hell of a war to coming home and raging a one man act of vengence without any fear. It can be shown as aggressive and maybe a little discomfort but as we dont know how or when he will pop up and suprise the gang is great. This is not a big budget movie, but does show that bullies do get their comupance in life.

Pool Party Massacre (2017)

A rich spoilt teenage brat decides to throw a pool party for her friends when her parents leave her alone for the weekend and are picked off one by one by a deranged killer that likes to use a variety of different weapons. The plot is as thin as the really bad looking fake blood, the dialogue is almost as bad as the acting, the fx are amateurish and the entire film is nothing we haven’t seen before. But, I absolutely loved it and at only 80 minutes long, it moves along really quickly and is well worth a watch for fans of trashy 80’s slasher films like Slumber Party Massacre etc.
If you’ve got Amazon Prime then I’d definitely recommend checking it out with a couple of beers and a take away, just don’t expect anything amazing because it really is one of those “so bad it’s good” type of films (Goatman Murders springs to mind) and I’d say it’s better than half of 88 Films Slasher Collection range, Mary Whitehouse would’ve loved it if it was released in 1984!

4/5

Buck Privates (1941)

no its not a gay porno, but Abbot and Constello film about them join up to the army to avoid being arrested, while not as bad as i expected they have nothing on laurel and hardy, lot of the jokes fall flat and Abbot is an unlikable bully. we have some cringeworthy and vomit inducing propaganda songs. but there are some laughs to be had. 5/10

Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals
A reporter goes to the amazon with a museum guy after a lunatic eats a nurses breast. They look around the woods and find cannibals.
Was this a horror or porn?
Either way I felt this was just a pile of garbage that I should smash with 100 bricks personally.

Paranoid park

About a security guy who been found dead near there (it's a skateboard park) and they trying to find out if he was murdered or a accident ,
Basically evolves around a young and his life and going to the skateboard park .

I paid 75p ages ago I turned off half around half way through found the film slow dull and a complete bore and didn't even slightly grab my attention 75p wasted.
Only reason why I'm going to keep is I bought it on the Tartan label and I collect their films. Otherwise it probably be used as a frisbee or a coaster,
From the reviews I've read people are saying it's gus van sant best film to date.
TBH don't know much about the director but if that his best film to date dread to think what his previous will be like, I google him later can't be arsed at moment I'm going back to play god of war for a while. Or close my eyes and just watch the blackness that you see swirl around itl be more interesting than this film.
