Superb giallo, much better than Lado's later Who Saw Her Die?. Tense with some great camerawork and an excellent Morricone score.

I would love it if this was released by Shameless!

Just finished watching Zombie Transfusion (AKA Automaton Transfusion) which I actually won in a competition (makes a change eh :pound: ) and thought it had some genienly amazing moments, especially for such a low budget. HOWEVER, a lot of it was incredibly stupid and inconsistant - here's just one of many examples [SPOILER] the characters are being chased by hordes of running zombies and quickly burst into a house and lock the door. The zombies are thumping against the door etc. Then a zombie appears in the room and the heroes open the door and run out where the coast is clear! WTF! [Spoiler over]

But the best part of this film is, without ANY doubt, the gore. It is just so well done. Unbelivably so. Some of the most realistic I've seen for such a low budget. So, I'll recommened this for fans of zombie cinema and/or gore, just don't go in expecting an Einstein of zombie films!

Prom Night was terrible but I actually enjoyed the remake of Black Christmas

There's only one version of Black Christmas for me - and that will be going in the DVD player sometime this week.

vincenzo 20th December 2009 10:19 PM

Yeah TEEN WOLF TOO doen't have the energy the first one has but yeah its still a decent film and does still hold up.

Found this guys myspace page about The Video Dead. Apparently it was going to get a dvd release in american in october by a company that didn't own the rights and the release was blocked by the rightfull owners,MGM.They said they will consider it for a dvd release if there is enough demand. They also showed it on the MGM-HD channel in november,so there's a lovely widescreen print just lying there. This guy has also done a few mock-up dvd covers and I must say, they look incredible.Would love to see these sitting on my shelf.
