It's very silly due to wooden acting and a creeping sense of deja vu ;)

Breakheart Pass (1975)
 

Chuck Bronson takes a break from killing street scum in Manhattan and is now a notorious villain John Deakin or is he...Well, seeing as this is an Alistair MacLean story, and he pretty much throws everything bar the kitchen sink into this tale, it's hardly surprising that no one appears to be what they seem, (remember Where Eagles Dare) its a little like an Agatha Christie, in fact, its a lot like Murder on the Orient Express, except substitute posh Euro-trash for gruff burly Cowboys and you kind of get the idea. What is great about Breakheart Pass is that pretty much the whole supporting cast is a who's who of character actors and gnarly 1970's villain, I'm pretty sure most of them have been beaten up numerous times by the likes of Clint and Bronson during their heydays in the mid-1970s. Of course, no Bronson film is complete without Jill Ireland, she doesn't actually do a lot but it's nice to have her around anyway. Overall it's a fairly entertaining old-school action film, with plenty of middle-aged men whacking seven bells out of each other on the top of railway carriages. In fact, Bronson's demeanour in this film is slightly less curmudgeonly than normal, mainly because he gets out curmudgeon by Ben Johnson who was the world record holder....

Leave Her To Heaven(1945)

Ellen (Gene Tierney) is is engaged to a politician(vincent Price) but dumps him after meeting richard(Colnel Wilde) on a train who reminds her of her dead father. they eventually marry, but she is incredibly possessive and will do what ever takes to keep him all for herself.

This is the second Gene tierney film that I have watched recently and this one really shows her acting skills. Very good performance indeed, and showing a much darker side as the severely troubled Ellen. especially during the drowning of richards handicapped brother and losing her baby.
not exactly a noir this one, but more of a drama. but definitely worth a watch and shot in lush technicolour as well.

Rocky is back as trainer to Adonis Creed son of his late friend Apollo Creed. Adonis has just been crowned heavyweight champion of the world but there is no time to enjoy his success when a new challenger steps up for his crack at the title. So what's the big deal when you are at the top there is always someone to try and knock you off the top but this is just a normal title defence this time around its Viktor Drago son if Ivan Drago the man that killed Apollo Creed in the year years ago. This fight has so much emotion for everyone not just Adonis and Rocky but Ivan and his son are carrying the hopes of the Russian nation and the government to bring home the belt. Ivan was shunned by his country after his loss to Rocky and for that he holds a grudge against the Italian Stallion and Viktor just wants to make his father proud.

I love the Rocky films yes all of the Rocky films and i absolutely love Sylvester Stallone so i'm always excited when he releases a new film when when this is basically Rocky 8 :lol:. The character of Adonis Creed is not bad but i didn't like how soon he forgot where he came from and who got his there the turnaround was made too fast if you see it you will know what i mean no spoilers ;)

Rocky is still a broken man over Adriann and sometimes its painful to see the pain in his eyes and how lonely and lost he is. All Rocky wants to do is to be there for Adonis and his family still blaming himself for the death of Apollo not throwing in the towel is a decision that will haunt him until the day he dies but Adonis ahas to allow him to be there.

It was great to have Dolf back and he looks amazing the man is in unreal shape he never let himself go and if he did step into the ring to fight in this he would not of looked out of place or unrealistic.

Creed 2 is predictable but i didn't care one bit it was very enjoyable and the actual fights looked fantastic and knowing that Viktor was played by Florian Munteanu an actual heavyweight boxer is scary when you see the size of him standing next to mere mortal stepping in a ring with him even just to act would give you a heart attack :lol:

To be honest these men along with Arnie are an inspiration showing no matter how old you are you can still keep yourself in good nick.


Creed 2 get a

DUNE 1984.

In the distant future 10191, a duke's son leads a band of warriors against the galatic emperor and his father's nemesis.

first time ever seeing this and the plot made very little sense, and was confusing in some parts, the special effects were brilliant and good soundtrack, the cast and acting were good from Kyle Maclachan, Max Von Sydow, Jurgen Prochnow, Brad Dourif, and Sting, second viewing will be in order for this.

I highly recommend the book which is fantastic and makes a lot more sens than the film :D
