"Prepare to meet Kali. IN HELL!"

Still one of the best comebacks in any film, ever.

Sharon Stone does a good job of playing a complete nutjob. I'm not normally one to complain about violence, but Jesus it was pretty brutal at points, especially at the end.

Having only seen Hugo and Shutter Island prior to my recent viewing, Taxi Driver was my first Scorsese classic, and I was a tad dissapointed. But this did not dissapoint and I look forward to watching his other classic works.

All round 180 minutes well spent. Highly reccomended to those who haven't seen it.
Forget any of his recent films, do not pass go, do not collect $200 and go straight to Goodfellas

Better than the Godfather, maybe. Better than the Godfather Part II, not quite. Better than the Godfather Part III, Hell yeah!

Goodfellas is a stunning film. Endlessly watchable.

I recommend Tetsuya Nakashima's Confessions if you haven't seen it already. That's a nice, pitch black, psychological slow burner.

Tonights film was Chungking Express which while not as good as In the Mood for Love is still simply sublime.

Tomorrow I may watch Chillerama if I have the chance to pick it up on the way home (a very different experience). Then on Friday morning its off to Amsterdam to spend the weekend experiencing the Imagine film festival.

Woah! This is impenetrable, heavy Swedish stuff but strangely enjoyable. Strange characters, weird plot, good visual effects. I saw it in Poundland and thought "what the hey." I wonder how many Jeremy Kyle viewers have done the same? (Sorry bit of a value call there, totally uncalled for, I know but...)

Watched Weird Science on Netflix last night for the first time since I was about 15, forgot how much I love this film so I'll be definitely adding it to my collection. Incidently, during the start of the film the boys are watching a colourized version of James Whale's Frankenstein (with a clip from Bride of Frankenstein inserted due to context), does anyone know if this exists or if it was mearly created for the film, I'd love to see them in colour?

Inspired by this I'm having an HD Universal Monsters Movie Marathon today, starting with Dracula. I may even knock out another review for this months topic while I'm at it

It's been ages since I last saw Weird Science, but it's one I really like and should buy on DVD.

I should also watch a couple of 'monster' films and write a review or two.

Watched Fright Night (1985 Twilight Time BR) last night and loved every minute. PQ & AQ were fantastic, all in all a great film.
