I like the idea behind the artwork, but it seems like a cynical excuse to flog DVDs simply for new artwork. I would happily buy some of them if they were posters, but not DVDs.

That's probably my favourite cover!

The 2001 cover is probably the best of a bad lot, however a bad cover would never make me not pick up a film I was interested in buying.

You could no doubt buy a cheaper copy of 2001 with better cover art from Amazon marketplace though, Dem.

I've decided not to bother as i'm getting a bit sci-fi'd out this month. It's actually not a fave genre of mine, film wise.

The 2001 and Seven covers are a bit spoiler-tastic, but I suppose they're not intended for people who haven't seen them

Noir November is another matter altogether.

I'll be sick of slasher and Halloween films by then.

Genuinely surprised, as I thought you were a big sci-fi fan with the whole Blake's 7 / Doctor Who / Star Wars fandom.

2 of my favourite shows are Star Trek TNG and Battlestar Galactica but I always find myself struggling to get through most Sci-Fi films, unless they have something else to it.
