Seriously though. I have that Ultimate Directors Cut edition. Is that better or worse than the original as released film?

True, have you read the book it is based on, it has much more of a social conscience than the film?

I watched it again the other day and it just gets better and better with each viewing. I did a massive review of it for the Cult Labs Members review thread, on the travel subject, but my pc crashed as I posted it. I've tried to rewrite it but I can't quite capture my excitement of the time again so have sacked it.

There is very little difference between them. There is an intro in the directors cut telling a story about Greek soldiers and some comic book style scenes added when certain scenes are changing over.
