The first legit 18 cert I saw in the cinema was Alien 3. Not the greatest time I've had in the cinema, but getting to see Peter Jackson's Braindead on the big screen shortly after made up for it. Now, that was a feast for the eyes. I went with my my uncle (who's only 7 years older) and it went right over the top of his head. In fact, he hated it. I guess it was just a bit too much for him.

The first film i remember seeing was the original release of Star Wars when i was about 4 and being totally blown away, i don't think i understood much but just looked on in wonder.
First film i remember going on my own to see was The Goonies.
First 15 was Beetlejuice when i was 14.
First 18 i think was Alien 3, oh well you can't win 'em all.

The first film I can remember seeing at the cinema was 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'

Seeing as I was born in 1966, and the film was released in 1968, I was either two years old (!), or I saw a re-release version.

I still recall how much the Child Catcher terrified me, and I had to hide behind the seat in front of me when he was on screen

When it comes to '18' rated films, I was a late developer. The first one I saw was Cameron's 'Aliens' in 1986

Looks as though this post was from a while back but i googled it and looks as though the film was a 25min short called 'Black angel', and some people have been trying to get it restored, but you probably know that now.

here's a still.

Sounds as though this is what you were referring to coz it was released with 'Empire'.
