I was at the cinema earlier today to see Hell or High Water (highly recommended, by the way) and these trailers were memorable for the right reasons:







It's clear summer is over and it's time for 'serious' movies to be released in time for awards season.

I'm also looking forward to these two (very different) films:

The Accountant – Ben Affleck is generally very good in serious roles these days, this looks to be a great story.



Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children – I hope this is Tim Burton back on form as a great fantasy filmmaker.

Not for her looks either – I'm struggling to think of a film in which she hasn't impressed or, at least, been solid and believable. By way of illustration: 300: Rise of an Empire and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For were rubbish, but she wasn't.
