Anyone that spends thirty five quid on a kids film needs our help and understanding rather than arguing with. :welcome:

The Midnight Meat Train 2008.

A photographer takes in the dark elements of the city and begins to follow a man who may be a serial killer.

This was a great splatter fest and one or two eye popping scenes based on the short story by Clive Barker. Bradley Cooper plays the photographer Leon, who is encouraged to take more pictures by a art dealer (Brooke Shields). His girlfriend Maya (Leslie Bibb) thinks he is going to far.
There is very little tense or suspense moments until halfway through the film and the pace quickens up well worth the watch. Who would have thought nice guy Vinnie Jones could have a sinister role.

Halloween 1978.

After killing his sister, Michael Myers escapes the psychiatric hospital where he has been for 15 years perused by his doctor Sam Loomis. He heads back to Haddonfield and starts his killing spree.

Thank you John Caprpenter for giving is this classic movie with Donald Pleasance, Charles Cyphers and Jamie Lee Curtis, 41 years old and still eerie as ever. Can't say anymore that hasn't been said before.

Well I is starting with The Evil Dead .

5 unsuspecting fools tamper with unseen forces. No, it's not Love Island :skull:
A tour de force. I always a chuckle at the memory of a particular cinema visit, where the audience were having a whale of a time laughing at the opening sequence, but fell silent after "jack of clubs". And remained so for the remainder. Word.
Work then tea then Mordum & TCM tis. Kidding I wasn't :skull:

But Near Dark is betterer.

:witchbrew:

The Hitcher

The comm turned out to be a washout, so restarted the film. It just does not let up. A bored driver picks up a stranger by the roadside. Entering a world of pain in doing so.
Hauer has a lot of fun here. As semi supernatural beings go, it's the most hard-boiled (until Walken in The Prophecy) representation in memory.
Jennifer Jason Leigh makes her mark as befits her stature. And do I spot a Ferengi? (RIP). Cough.
Film.

Hellraiser
After bleeding in the attic, Larry inadvertently resurrects his brother Frank, who was taken by the cenobites.
A classic piece of work from Barker, gets me in the mood to reread The Hellbound Heart.

The Exorcist 1973.

A 12 year old girl, begins to change and medical experts are baffled and soon realise that she is possessed by a demon.

One of the best 1970s horror movies that caused a stir when released and introduced everyone to a new horror film, was interesting to see the extended edition and does have the blink and miss it moment and the spider walk.
