I really rate 4. ****ing gruesome, if you'll pardon the expression. It's way better than the awful third outing.

I didn't get further than the first entry I'm afraid.

Love Film decided to dispatch S. Korean revenge thriller Pieta to me and despite my best efforts to try and convince myself that it could be inferred as horror and even taking into account my well-cited broad definition of the horror genre even I wasn't having any of my bullshit this time so I won't be counting it. An excellent film though.

So, tonight's (now sole) horror offering will take the form of Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II.

Strange really considering some of the older stuff that you watch. The Wrong Turn films whilst not original at least push the boundaries with their onscreen gore.

As for Prom Night II. Not a fan i'm afraid...of any of them.

Did the forum go offline for anyone a short time ago? It did for me. Couldn't access it at all.

Just noticed the current stats - only 39 online including 8 members. So yes it clearly did go offline.

I think we've had this discussion before, but I tend to be more forgiving (and entertained by) the older schlock compared to the new. As for the first Wrong Turn I found it to be extremely underwhelming. I remember it being released around the same time as Cabin Fever - another film I don't really rate and the films kind of 'blend together' in a gloop of mediocrity in my head.

The first one is pretty entertaining and I've never seen the second so thought I'd give it a shot. I was going to watch Terror Train until I remembered it takes place around New Year's Eve so decided to give it a spin later this year / early next year instead! I am in the mood for a bit of '80s cheddar.

Yeah, I got a server error just after posting my prior post in this thread. I refreshed and noticed that only myself and profondo rosso were online so something must have happened to kick everyone off.

Went offline for me too. Now I know what Facebook users went through a fortnight ago.

Now Terror Train is poor. Really poor. A slasher minus any slash!

It's another I've never seen so do want to attempt it at some point. I've heard quite a few negatives about it over the years and seeing as I'm not the biggest admirer of Jamie Lee Curtis either, I'm not expecting much.

Yes, but does it go off the rails?
