A perfect viewing for the Halloween seasons , it oozes atmosphere of the seasons.

Johnny Depp plays Ichabod Crane a brilliant but cowardly new York police detective whom is sent too the small sleepy village, of sleepy hollow to investigate a number of murders .

Being a Practical man he doesn't believe the villages story that it's the work of a headless horseman. But it's not long before he changes his mind.

A enjoyable low budget British film. A policeman is escorting a prisoner , he decides to spend the night in a out of the way inn, that night the inn owners murder the coachman and try to murder the rest of the guests, but they are stopped , but it would of probably been better too let themselves be killed as the inn owners where killing people to appease a group of werewolves.

With no food soon the werewolves attack and it becomes a fight for survival.

Despite its small budget the werewolves didn't look half bad and we had some decent kills . It had a bit of black adder type of humor running through it and let's not forget the scene of a werewolf emptying its bowls on two hiding victims.

Now watching

The Devils Rides Out. 1968.

Christopher Lee becomes a saviour to friend Patrick Mower from Satanic cultists lead by sinister Charles Gray who knows how to hold his stare and rarely seen blinking in this. Right from the start we are thrown into the story with good character build up, the suspense is basically right there when we meet Mower's character and his party guests and stays there right up to the end. The acting involved if it's a big or small role is well done along with some great set designs and cinematography.

That's one of tonight's films sorted.
It seems you can't get Terrifier 2 on any format online at either Amazon nor HMV.

Whilst Zavvi just says 'Sold Out'.

I knew I should have pre-ordered this as soon as the reports about it came out.

Should have seen it coming.

My local HMV says more should be in this week

If you have a local Asda you should be able to grab a dvd for £5.

It looks great. I have no reason to upgrade even though i loved the film.

Cannibal Apocalypse. 1980.

Vietnam soldiers return home to America carrying a virus that turn them in to cannibals which their victims turn as well.

The title Cannibal is only half right with this, as we think that everyone may suffer a Apocalypse with the police chief "saying it be finished when it all ends" the film finishes, so we gotta assume they managed to kill everyone affected or there was plans for a sequel that never happened.

John Saxon leads the commando unit who rescues his buddy Giovanni Lombardo Radici and sees his unit eating flesh in a cage that doesn't seem to bother him much, yet his young neighbour tries to seduce him and gets the urge to do some muff munching. This may not be the best Cannibal movie but does have it's gore and a lazy ass security guard who seems not bothered about a motorbike in the store but moves quick when he hears a shotgun go off.

Not seen the first one, unless it can be viewed as a stand alone sequel

Yeah, I got some ASDA vouchers from work and they had it, picked it up, treating as like a Rental, just to see if it'll be worth getting the Blu-Ray Double Pack.

Got a feeling once back in stock, the prices will rise
