Didn't The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue play as a cinema double bill with Frightmare in the mid-70's? I would have loved to have seen these at the cinema, even though they would have been the BBFC approved versions.

This arrived today.

Even although I own them on the Shriek Show label and the ABUK coffin,I like the film notes Odeon put in with their films.

My Auntie Dawnie appeared in a couple of Peter Walker films. She has told me that:

"For the 'Flesh and Blood Show' we went to Brighton. I was a chain mailed spear carrier in Hamlet in, I think, the pier theatre....The lead was the guy who did the voice over for Mr Benn (Ray Brooks)

With 'House of Whipcord', we were in some office in the West End or Soho... I had to wear a flowery shirt and look trendy"

Adore Pete Walker! Frightmare is my favorite, although I really enjoyed The Flesh and Blood Show. House of Whipcord and Die Screaming Marianne were a bit haphazard, comparatively, for me, but I still enjoyed those, as well!

Did she work with any other British horror directors?

Not really, although she did appear in the historical film 'Winstanley', directed by Kevin Brownlow, and produced by the BFI - she looked round a tree!!

Incidentally, my old landlord appeared in a thing with Ray Winstone - I think it was 'Palmer'. He played a drag queen. My ex-landlord I mean, and not Ray!!
