Vastly prefer Near Dark. Its grim, its dark, its grity. Most of the people in favor of Lost Boys or are on the fence, seem to only call up nostalgic factors. I'd say take away the nostalgia and you would find an utterly boring series of events. I stand by what I said. Twilight for the 80's.

Can't see it as twilight I actually like the characters and they where real vampires not some god awful sparkling man children. Was only unfortunate enough to see the first twishite and that was enough for me I could of happily killed the entire cast!!

In all seriousness, Lost Boys isn't AS bad as Twishite. But that doesn't make it good. If Twishite is explosive Diarrhea, then Lost Boys is constipation.
