Such unbelievable news... I felt like he was one of those really iconic people, who just can't die... and well, I guess he will never die, he'll always live on in all the amazing movies he's been in. I'm glad he has such a vast filmography to enjoy. RIP Sir Christopher Lee. |

A genuine legend, perhaps the last of the golden age. Last saw him as Mycroft in Billy Wilders Sherlock Holmes movie - great as always. The sheer diversity of his work was something missed in the obits today - As well as Classic Hammer (hero and villain), he spanned Bond, Corman, Bava, Star Wars, Tolkein - just off the top of my head. What a life he had, I'm genuinely sad it's over (on the physical plane at least - his work makes him immortal) - RIP big guy and cheers for all the fun over the years.

"People sometimes come up to me," he once said, "and they say, 'I've seen all your films, Mr Lee,' and I say, 'Oh no you haven't'." |

From watching Lee in "The Devil Rides Out" as a kid, to then reading the book in my early teens and then taking up the Dark Arts in adulthood, Lee has had an indirect but profound impact on my life. RIP.

Just dedicated Foo Fighters' My Hero to him at the jam session, got a massive round of applause before we played it, sure sign of respect for the hero that he was for so many people

Thought he might have made it to 100, this is such sad news. R.I.P. Recall those old Hammer Draculas used to scare me as a child, particularly Prince of Darkness and A.D. 1972. Lee was one of the last ones now there's really not many male actors left from the old days, think Kirk Douglas (98) is still the oldest living.
