The De Selle / Morghen sex scene wasn't cut from the Vipco edition, the sex scene between David Hess and Annie Belle was though.

That's what I thought when Shameless first told me they were going to release this (which was before the advice on Cannibal Holocaust came through).

But then with the Cannibal Holocaust advice it seems that the BBFC are re-assessing their boundaries so I'm not so sure now...

Some of the De Selle / Morghren Scene was cut, mate, in fact two scenes were between those two.....one scene before he molests her on the couch, and the scene in the Garden Shed / Greenhouse is a lot shorter in the vipco edition (screamtime edition)

Quite right. UK companies like Shameless and Arrow get a lot of grief when they announce titles like these as often people argue that there's no point as the films will probably be cut.

However, I would argue that by constantly trying to get films like this through, they are pushing the boundaries and are forcing the BBFC to re-evaluate their own policies.

They might not always get an uncut verdict, but if every time they get a bit less trimmed off the film then they and the BBFC are going further towards an adult consensus.

Revolution on something like this can't happen overnight but companies like Shameless can get there by taking it one video nasty at a time!

I watched them yesterday because i had been posting in the thread (and wanted to see the film again, and compared the Uncut with the Vipco job, ....as usual with Vipco, a lot of Dialogue scenes are missing too

but maybe the fact that it is absolutely horrific will play in its' favor, as has happened with cannibal holocaust the bbfc have seen and duly noted that the sexual violence is designed to horrify, not titillate.
i showed all my friends this film when i was a teen, and i can't remember one of them saying 'dam, this is hot, can i borrow it for a wank?' although i do remember their shock, and that for many months after we would sing 'cindy oh cindy' to freak each other out.

I agree that the rape in CH is not as bad as the one in Edge.
I will be very surprised if it goes through uncut.
